| Born at the dawn of human civilisation, mysticism is a universal phenomenon in world religions.Although there is much academic disagreement about mysticism, ultimately its core mystical experience is attributed to a momentary intuition,a spiritual experience of the divine or the real,a form of expression arising from personal selfconsciousness, whose authenticity is related to the state of consciousness of the experiencer.Mystical practice consists of both physical and mental training, and without the experience of faith,it is difficult to grasp mysticism in religion simply by discerning it historically, philosophically and semantically.Using research methods such as documentary research, case study and inductive methods, this paper uses a focus on the sources and categories of mysticism, starting with the study of everyday religious rituals in Italy and delving into the artist Michelangelo, who had a huge influence on Samori,to decipher and analyse the spiritual connotations behind his stone sculptures and frescoes.Using Warburg’s map of memory as a guide,it tells the story of Samori’s mystical origins.Using the new generation of Italian artist Nicola Samori as an entry point, the deep involvement of mysticism in Samori’s work is analysed in depth through the isolation of ambiguous mnemonics, the breaking down of form and space of images, the rhetorical structure of symbols and allusions, and the impulsive and unconscious act of shamanism.Through the different perspectives of rendering black and gloomy atmospheres, masking distortions and distortions, the use of alchemy and destruction and creation, the author summarises and summarises Samori’s occult creative techniques. The author’s mystical experience is incorporated into his practice, without detailed logical or rational analysis, but only in the context of his artistic practice,to explain the religious spiritual experience in his works. On this basis, combined with the practice of watercolour painting, the author draws on symbolic expressions that transcend language, first belief and then understanding, free from the constraints of reality, leading to a deeper religious experience of pure individuality, summarising the most primitive spiritual discoveries, and offering experiences and suggestions that are helpful to artistic creation. This study deals primarily with the development of Western mysticism, demonstrating the combination of alchemy, the occult, psychology and Samori’s work, attempting to place Nicola Samori’s creations in a medieval context, exploring the preRenaissance worldview behind the work, respecting the Western tradition of mysticism, reason and faith, expanding the understanding of marginalised knowledge, unravelling the misunderstanding and neglect of hidden knowledge, and reflecting on the impact of modern industrial civilisation on the spiritual oppression of man.Applying spiritual discoveries from mystical experiences to the creation of watercolour paintings, personalised expressions, enriching the spiritual connotations of the works, making them stand and look for a long time, and making some new explorations for contemporary watercolour painting. |
