Study On Lefebvre’s Alienation Theory

Henri Lefebvre criticized many fields of western developed capitalist society.In this process,many theories such as critical theory of daily life,space production theory,urban space politics theory,rhythm analysis theory and so on were created.However,this study believes that the theory of alienation is a "baseline" that runs through his life’s theoretical research.Among the complex theoretical research topics mentioned above,it is just a different theoretical form of Lefebvre’s theory of alienation.Therefore,this study mainly inspects,combs and summarizes his "different forms of alienation theory",so as to perspective and understand the generation and evolution of abstract totalitarian rule in western developed capitalist society.After investigating the three theoretical forms of Lefebvre’s alienation theory,in order to grasp its theoretical content more objectively,the article finally makes a critical reflection on Lefebvre’s alienation theory.Specifically,the article is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part mainly introduces the reason for choosing the topic,the significance of the research,the research status of Lefebvre’s alienation theory in the academic circles at home and abroad,and the research ideas and methods adopted in the article.The text is divided into four chapters: The first chapter explains the realistic background and theoretical resources of Lefebvre’s alienation theory,and clarifies Lefebvre’s alienation concept;The second chapter combs and interprets Lefebvre’s "different forms of alienation theory",and generalizes it into "alienation of human beings","alienation of society" and "alienation of space".At the same time,in this process,it clarifies the generation and evolution of abstract totalitarian rule in western developed capitalist society;The third chapter interprets and combs Lefebvre’s "revolution in daily life" and "revolution in space";Chapter IV,from the perspective of Marxist historical materialism and political economics,analyzes the significance and limitations of Lefebvre’s alienation theory.
