| Among the ancient love stories of emperors and concubines,the story of Emperor Hanwu and Lady Li is touching,and it is one of the most long-lasting imperial love stories in Chinese history.The story of Liu and Li was largely defined in the ancient books and records of the Han dynasty,but during the Wei,Jin and North-South dynasties it was added to the story,with a number of divine elements and detailed descriptions,showing the characteristics of the times.The story of Liu and Li was rarely added in the Tang dynasty,but its influence led to the emergence of many poetic works based on the story of Liu and Li in the Tang dynasty,and it had a great influence on the creation of Changhenge.After the Song Dynasty,when popular literature flourished,the story of Liu and Li was adapted into drama,presenting new variations.In this essay,we analyze the story of Liu and Li in the order of the times and combine the results of previous research,examining its evolution and exploring its influence.It aims to provide a clear and comprehensive understanding of the evolution of the Liu-Li story,and to explore its influence and significance in literary history.The whole paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly compares and analyses the current situation of the study of Liu-Li story and explains the significance of this paper and its research methodology.The second chapter is an analysis of the Liu-Li story in the ancient books and records of the two Han dynasties and a discussion of related issues,including an analysis of the Liu-Li story contained in Han Shu,the love between Liu and Li as presented in Poetry to Lady Li and Ode to Lady Li,and an examination of the object "invocation of spirits".Chapter 3 examines the evolution of the Liu-Li story under the influence of immortalism during the Wei,Jin and North-South dynasties,including the characteristics and causes of the Liu-Li story found in the notebook novels of the Wei,Jin and North-South dynasties.Chapter Four examines the influence of Liu-Li story on Tang poetry,divided into three sections: first,the writing of Liu-Li story in Tang poetry,second,an analysis of the reasons why Tang poets mostly recited Liu-Li story,and third,the influence of Liu-Li story on the Changhenge.Chapter 5 examines the changes and influences of Liu-Li story after Song Dynasty literature,comprising two sections: first,an analysis of the characteristics of the Liu-Li story in Wu Renzhong’s Zaishengyuan,and second,an analysis of Liu-Li story as presented in the poetry after Song Dynasty. |
