| Ming Xiang ji is one of the most famous works of Early Chinese Buddhism.It was made of Wang yan who was born in the Southern Song Dynasty.Lu xun was the first one to comment the book and he said that:“To record the efficacious deeds of the Buddhas and to prove that what works is true,in order to make the human beings believe in Buddhism.”Moreover,Lu xun named Ming Xiang ji“the Buddhist Note”.The Buddhist Notes not only promote Buddhism,but also they can reflect social reality.Ming Xiang ji really reflected the state of Buddhism in Southern and Northern Dynasties.The Study of Ming Xiang ji is so important,we can find that the book has is special attention and the religious spirit on the follow sides: nature、content、features.So it was a very influential and famous Buddhist book.In Ming Xiang ji,it described lots of stories about Avalokitesvara which promoted the spread of the faith in Avalokitesvara.It can encourage people to believe in Buddhism and has a positive effect on society.The thesis is composed of three chapters: introduction 、body and the end.The introduction mainly discuss the writing purpose and the content,and also makes a brief review of academic research.The first chapter,to explore the characteristics of the auxiliary teaching novels.The second chapter,“the Avalokitesvara beliefin Ming Xiang ji”.The faith in Avalokitesvara was much more vivid and more popular than other spirit belief in Southern and Northern Dynasties.Studying these stories can help us to explore the text style and religious sense in Ming Xiang ji.The third chapter,“Narrative art in Ming Xiang ji”.Studying Ming Xiang ji’s narrative art which can help us to understand mystery novels in Southern and Northern Dynasties. |
