The Research Of Han Shishan’s Biography

The creation of biographical literature is an important part of Han Shishan’s literary creation.Since 1978,biographical literature in China has begun to flourish.Han Shishan’s biographies is also written in this period.Han Shishans works cover two major categories:autobiography and others’ biography.Although his biographies are not so many,they have unique historical values and aesthetic values.Based on the overall texts of Han Shishan’s biographical literature,this paper aims at analyzing the style exploration and narrative features of Han Shishan’s biographies,using biographical theoretical criticism,comparative analysis,and so on.On this basis,the paper tries to analyze the value and limitation of Han Shishan’s biographies and explore Han Shishans status in the history of biographical literature in China.The structure of this paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter analyzes the style exploration of Han Shishan’s biographies and its significance.Based on the different characteristics of the leading characters,Han Shishan chose different styles to write biographies.Inspired from the writing methods of ancient history books,annal-biography style is applied to Han Shishan’s modern biographies writing,which is the biggest feature of Han Shishans "Biography of Xu Zhimo".Without doubt,it is also the most successful attempt in his exploration of biographical styles.Han Shishan also used the interview style to write "Biography of Zhang Han" and applied annotation in the historical book to writing "Biography of Li Guanghua".In addition,he also attempted to write image biographies and blogs.His attempts on the new biography styles shows his spirits of exploration and innovation.The second chapter analyzes the narrative features of Han Shishans biographical literature.First of all,Han Shishan adheres to the narrative ethics of fidelity in writing biographies.He follows the "reality of facts",which means respecting historical materials,instead of fabricating facts.He also strives for the "reality of narration",which means narrating a story based on a certain real person and event.Secondly,Han Shishans biographies reveal traces of the authors emotional intervention,which makes his biographies carry the imprint of the authors personality.The authors emotional intervention is mainly embodied in two aspects: which person he chose to write and how he evaluated this person.Thirdly,influenced by Han Shishans literary concept and Li Jianwus writing style,the language style of Han Shishans biographies can be described as meandering,fresh and natural.Above-mentioned narrative features make his biographies show a unique artistic style.Based on the research of preceding two chapters,the third chapter tries to explore the status of Han Shishan’s biographies in the history of biographical literature in China.Han Shishan has made an indelible contribution to the biographical literature writing and theory in our country.He innovated in the form of biographies,applying annal-biography style to biography writing.His biographies also has theoretical contributions and practical significance.The theoretical contribution refers to the theory named as "depth perspectivity and flat narration of biographical literature",which is condensed from his own writing experience.The practical significance means that his biography writing has historical significance on the modern literary research.It also means his biography writing art can inspire and set a good example for other biographers.However,Han Shishans biographies also has some limitations and deficiencies.He m isunderstands the property of biography.His biographies also expose some specific problems.
