| Modern lacquer painting is a type of painting that originated from traditional lacquer art,and it has a relatively short history.Currently,there is relatively little research on lacquer painting in the academic community.This emerging art form has encountered certain bottlenecks after rapid development,such as a tendency for exhibitors in various competitions and exhibitions to be niche,a lack of artistic quality,and outdated styles and themes.In order to explore a modern path for lacquer painting and balance the technical and artistic aspects of the art form,this paper will choose French lacquer artist Vincent as a case study.As a Frenchman who came to China to study lacquer art,Vincent has a unique cross-cultural background.Through continuous learning and accumulation,Vincent has developed his own unique style of lacquer painting,breaking the traditional boundaries between flat lacquer painting and sculpture,and using selectively pre-made materials combined with lacquer art to explore traditional Chinese lacquer art while expressing personal emotions and life experiences.Currently,there is no analysis of this artist’s case study in the academic community,so this paper will analyze Vincent’s materials and techniques,the uniqueness and artistic quality of his works,and other aspects through case studies. |
