In painting itself,composition,shape and color will have an impact on painting space,and the relationship between color and space plays an important role in painting.From the comparative analysis of classical Chinese and Western paintings of the past dynasties,it can be found that there are certain differences in the role of color relations between China and the West in the picture space.Based on the color theories of China and the West,this paper takes the different color space performance of the two representative cases of Chinese and Western classical paintings,Li Song’s "Flower Basket" and Caravaggio’s "Water Fruit Basket",as the starting point,and specifically analyzes the basic characteristics of the color language of the Chinese Song Dynasty courtyard broken flower and bird painting and the western classical still life painting,and compares the similarities and differences in the creation of the painting space between the two.Combine the two to explore the influence of color and space on modern Chinese painting in the modern context.Using Li Song’s Flower Basket and Caravaggio’s Fruit Basket as clues,we analyse the comparison of their colour concepts and the influence of their different spatial awareness on their paintings through specific examples,systematically sort out the basic rules and differences between their colour and spatial expressions,and explore how to seek common ground while preserving differences in the modern development of Chinese painting,reasonably absorb the beneficial elements of Western colour that meet the needs of Chinese painting development,maintain the characteristics of Chinese painting while acquiring more diverse cultural elements,and apply them to their own creative practice,explore the path of their own artistic language development,so as to form Chinese painting works with modern formal aesthetics. |
