| Fear is a universal emotional experience in human beings,which is a response to the unknown and uncertainty and a natural instinct for self-protection.At the same time,fear is also due to our perception of the impermanence and vulnerability of life.Therefore,as an emotion deeply rooted in human psyche,this paper aims to explore how fear psychology affects society and individuals’ psychology.This paper specifically discusses the expression of fear in movies.The introduction briefly describes the research background and practical significance of fear issues,and discusses the definition of fear and its research methods in combination with the current research status at home and abroad.Part one summarizes the evolution of fear issues in film history,and explains the different types of fear and their causes in different eras based on specific historical backgrounds.Part two mainly summarizes the different aspects of fear in movies,and analyzes the fear in movies and its conveying methods from the social and psychological levels based on Jung’s archetype theory.Part three discusses the innovation of fear themes in contemporary film environment and social context by studying the cases of three representative contemporary horror movies,from the textual analysis of movies to the design of audio-visual language of the movies themselves.This paper analyzes the conveying of "fear" in movies from social,philosophical,and psychological perspectives,aiming to study how fear in movies is effectively conveyed to the audience’s mind through its unique language environment and the profound reality meaning of "fear."... |
