In teaching Chinese characters to foreign students,analyzing the meaning of radicals can help students systematically master Chinese characters and improve learning efficiency.However,the confusion of radicals and the lack of rigorous naming of radicals have had a certain negative impact on teaching.Regarding the confusion of radicals,for example,simplifying the“fu”(阜)and“yi”(邑)tribes as“fu”(阝)without distinction,at most only distinguishing between“left ear”and“right ear”,this is not conducive to understanding the meaning of words.There is also a problem with the imprecise naming of radicals.The names of the“fu”(阝)are diverse,including“shuangerpang”(双耳旁),“erduopang”(耳朵旁),but they have not deviated from the law of“naming according to form”,it is difficult to understand the differences in their meanings through the names of radicals.“fu”(阝)has two sources:“fu”(阜)and“yi”(邑),referring to two different meanings:“about mountain and footstep”“population settlement”.It is located on the left and right sides of the Chinese character and is named“zuofu”(左阜)and“youyi”(右邑).It is easier to connect the same radical Chinese characters,reflecting the relationship between radical meanings and character meanings.In relevant textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,“fu”(阝)is also regarded as a radical,and there is no distinction in teaching.“fu”(阝)is confused with“du”(都)and“jie”(阶).In response to the above issues,this article will separate the teaching of the characters“fu”(阜)and“yi”(邑).Firstly,the distribution statistics of the“阝(阜、邑)”part characters in the“shuowenjiezi”(《说文解字》),International Chinese Education Chinese Level Standards,and HSK Standard Tutorial were conducted to analyze the meanings,forms,and cultural connotations of the“阝(阜、邑)”part characters in foreign Chinese character teaching;Secondly,based on the characteristics of the textbooks and teaching objects,Chinese characters are selected as the main teaching content for teaching design;Finally,through research,it was found that distinguishing between the“fu”(阜)and“yi”(邑)tribes can effectively help students memorize Chinese characters and understand their meanings;The teaching method of centralized character recognition can help students build a character family system of“阝(阜、邑)”,connect Chinese characters based on their meanings,increase the fun of learning Chinese characters,and improve learning efficiency.In summary,this article takes the origin and significance of “阝(阜、邑)” as the starting point,combined with the characteristics of teaching Chinese characters to foreign students,to help students build a bridge between radical meanings and word meanings,improve the efficiency of Chinese character learning through teaching design,and provide valuable reference for Chinese character teaching.
