A Narrative Study Of Chinese Films On "Mother Daughter Relationship"

Mother daughter relationship is an important issue in the process of women’s growth.With the continuous development of Chinese society,film types continue to be refined and deepened,women’s social status and self-consciousness begin to further improve,and more female directors appear on the film stage to shine.Under this background,some female directors deeply expressed the mother daughter relationship,which is a special connection between women,and this also proved that the discussion of the mother daughter relationship is actually an extremely critical part of the women’s film topic.This paper focuses on the "mother daughter relationship" theme films in women’s films,tries to study and analyze this type of films,and excavates the "love and hate" between mother and daughter contained in the films.Through reading a large number of films on this subject,we have preliminarily summarized the films,especially had a more thorough understanding of the narrative expression and emotional logic of the mother daughter relationship in the films on this subject.The first part of this article analyzes the construction of the narrative subject in the film.In the film,mother and daughter are the two main roles of course,and the absence of the father/husband position in the family is the prerequisite for this situation.However,in such a disordered family,mother,in addition to assuming the role of mother,also has to assume the responsibility of father.The second part of this article,The study of narrative expression in mother daughter films explores the artistic characteristics and aesthetic tendency of films from the aspects of gender/power ownership of narrative space,female growth and transformation of narrative theme,mirror image transformation of narrative identity and visual landscape generated by narrative symbols.The third part of the paper,from the recognition of mother daughter narrative discourse,looks into the expression of the female consciousness of the theme film,discusses how female directors "objectify" the presentation of female images,clarifies the female writing performance path of "emotion image" in such films,and the profound influence of women on the entire film ecology.
