A Study Of The Folk Narratives Of The "Miao Ancient Songs" In Wenshan,Yunnan

The "Miao Ancient Songs" of Wenshan in Yunnan,with the form of singing as the main carrier,narrates the evolution of the Wenshan Miao people from the primitive survival mode of the "Jiuli" and "Three Miao" periods to the traditional society and then to the production and lifestyle of modern society,and is the witness and carrier of the historical development of the Wenshan Miao people.As far as the text is concerned,Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" is mainly based on the "Wenshan Miao Folk Literature Collection" compiled by local scholars in Wenshan,which highlights the unique narrative ability of Wenshan Miao folk literature.Taking the folk narrative of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" as a research object,and studying and summarizing its folk narrative will not only help to further understand the experience of folk narrative,but also benefit from inheriting and promoting Wenshan Miao folk literature and the "intangible cultural heritage" behind it.At present,the academic community’s research on Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" is more regarded as a regional example of analyzing "Miao Ancient Songs",and there is still a lack of systematic investigation of itself,especially its folk narratives.Therefore,based on the Marxist theory of literature and art with Chinese characteristics,this paper draws on modern Western narratives and other related theories,synthesizes documentary records and field investigations,and intends to conduct a comprehensive and systematic discussion on the folk narrative motifs,folk narrative characters,folk narrative time and space,folk narrative methods and folk narrative techniques of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs".This article consists of three parts: introduction,main text,and conclusion.On the basis of explaining the connotation of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs",the introduction part comprehensively sorts out and evaluates the existing research results of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs",and puts forward the research value and significance,theoretical basis and research methods of this paper.The main text covers chapters 1 to 5,and the first chapter introduces the main version content of the current "Miao Ancient Songs" in Wenshan and its narrative characteristics.Chapters 2 to 4 analyze the three basic elements of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" from two dimensions: narrative motif,narrative characters and narrative time and space.Chapter 5 analyzes the narrative methods and techniques used in Wenshan’s "Miao Ancient Songs" from the level of narrative rhetoric.Therefore,this paper concludes that Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" is a microcosm of the evolution of economic,political,cultural and social life of the Wenshan Miao people in the long history of the river,and its folk narrative tradition has high artistic value and practical significance.From the perspective of narrative content,the unique narrative motif,narrative characters and narrative time and space of Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" are an important embodiment of Wenshan Miao folk narrative concept and consciousness expressed by literature.From the perspective of narrative form,Wenshan "Miao Ancient Songs" not only has a long and mature folk narrative tradition,but also has a unique ethnic style and regional color.From the perspective of academic value,the "Miao Ancient Songs" of Wenshan in Yunnan are an indispensable part of Miao folk literature,and have supplementary significance for the overall study of "Miao Ancient Songs",especially the partial regional research.
