The Study On The Phenomenon Of Network Nostalgia Of Youth

With the rapid advancement of modernization in our country since the 1990 s,a large number of collective nostalgia phenomena have emerged in society.Along with the widespread popularization of the Internet,the younger generation has begun to actively engage in nostalgic activities online.At present,the phenomenon of youth online nostalgia is manifested as popular social and cultural events,as well as a normalized cultural landscape with extensive and sustained influence among contemporary youth.This thesis takes the phenomenon of youth online nostalgia as its research object and conducts a comprehensive and systematic discussion of its causes,the nostalgia complex it contains,its forms of expression,and its dissemination and impact.The main body of the paper is composed of four chapters.The first chapter defines the concept of youth online nostalgia and analyzes the causes of the phenomenon from the perspective of the social situation faced by contemporary youth and its impact on their psychology.The second chapter studies the nostalgic complex embodied in the phenomenon of youth online nostalgia,exploring it from the perspectives of simple regression,ambivalence and reflection,and the search for identity.The third chapter investigates the forms of expression of youth online nostalgia,focusing on the production of nostalgic videos,the discussion of nostalgic topics,and nostalgic consumption among young people.The fourth chapter examines the dissemination and impact of the phenomenon of youth online nostalgia,with its characteristics being the wide range and rapid speed of dissemination,the blurring of the boundaries between the disseminators and recipients,and the collective ritual nature of communication.The positive impacts of youth online nostalgia are discussed in terms of emotional compensation,group identification,and the sense of life’s meaning,while its negative impacts mainly lie in the tendency to indulge in fantasies of the past,thereby evading real-life challenges and the relative absence of social responsibility and historical mission.Finally,the paper proposes countermeasures to address these negative impacts.
