With the development of COVID-19,many universities across the country have implemented closed management,thus significantly changing the learning style and lifestyle of college students.At the same time,their mental health has also been impacted to a certain extent,which is manifested as high psychological stress and easy emotional fluctuations.High perceived stress level will have serious effects on the physical,psychological and behavioral aspects of college students.In addition,college students have a high proportion of people with the characteristics of perfectionism and negative perfectionism is closely related to perceived stress.In order to help college students effectively relieve psychological stress,it is necessary to further explore the relationship mechanism between negative perfectionism and perceived stress.Therefore,this study tries to explore the role of self-compassion between negative perfectionism and perceived stress,and explore the effectiveness of self-compassion group designed based on the relationship of the three to reduce stress perception among college students.This study is divided into two parts: Study 1 and Study 2.In the first study,Chinese Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale,Self-Compas sion Scale and Chinese Perceived Stress Scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey of 1046 college students from seven universities to understand the present negative perfectionism,self-compassion and perceived stress level of college students.And the relationship was explored among the three.The results showed that:(1)the overall level of perceived stress among college students was at a lower-middle level.(2)There was a significant negative correlation between negative perfectionism and self-compassion among college students.There was a significant positive correlation between negative perfectionism and perceived stress.There was a significant negative correlation between self-compassion and perceived stress.And self-compassion has a partial mediating effects between negative perfectionism and stress perception.According to the conclusion of study 1,study 2 tries to explore the effectiveness of the self-compassion group counseling program designed based on the core component of self-compassion.Eleven college students were randomly selected as the experimental group and another eleven college students were selected as the control group without any treatment.The results showed that compared with the control group,the intervention of self-compassion group counseling had a significant effect on the level of self-compassion and perceived stress,and the effect of intervention was still effective in the follow-up test results of one month later.Based on the above research results,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Generally,the perceived stress of college students in this sample was at a lower-middle level.(2)Negative perfectionism of college students can negatively predict the level of self-compassion.Negative perfectionism can positively predict the level of perceived stress,while self-compassion can negatively predict the level of perceived stress and self-compassion plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between negative perfectionism and stress perception.(3)The self-compassion group counseling program designed in this study effectively improve the self-compassion level of college students,and thus reduce the perceived stress level of college students.
