A Study Of Spatial Expression In Contemporary Brush Painting

Contemporary Chinese brush painting has greatly innovated and developed the variety of spatial expressions.Based on the use of the figurative space of traditional brush painting,artists expand the space of painting by attracting the surreal space of the foreigner,so that the figurative space of contemporary Chinese brush painting shines and reveals infinite artistic charm.This article mainly focuses on the application of figurative space in Chinese brush painting.Spatial composition is one of the most important elements of any painting.It plays a key role in the emotional expression and visual contamination of a painting.It not only supports the artist’s artistic creativity,but also forms the basis of the artist’s communal and individual expression.It can reflect the artist’s personal emotional attitude and express ideological values.It can also add visual effects to elicit an emotional response from the viewer.The first chapter of this paper describes the meaning of picture space in traditional Chinese brush painting and the development of picture space in contemporary brush painting;the second chapter explores the use of picture space in Chinese brush painting and its expressive characteristics using specific contemporary artists as examples;the third chapter explains the process of conceptualization and practice in the creation of gradual brush painting;finally,the argument for the expansion and significance of pictorial space is presented.Through the creative process,the author improved his understanding of spatial expression and began his own research on the language of spatial expression,while gaining a deeper understanding and refinement of spatial application and artistic expression.
