Research On The Image Building Of The Communist Party Of China During The Yan’an Period

At present,China is facing a complicated international and domestic situation,it is more urgent and heavy to strengthen the image construction of the Communist Party of China than ever before.The Party’s image building is a long-term issue that accompanies the development of the Party.During the Yan’an period,the dissemination of the Party’s image was hindered by the Kuomintang’s press blockade,and due to the slander and vilification by the Kuomintang,the outside world lacked a correct perception and judgment of the CPC’s image.In order to break the vilification propaganda of the Kuomintang and gain the people’s recognition and support,the CPC during the Yan’an period explicitly wanted to build an advanced and pure Marxist party that was fully consolidated ideologically,politically,organizationally and in terms of style.In order to achieve "both internal and external cultivation",it simultaneously used various communication methods such as interpersonal,organizational and mass communication,and fully displayed its image to the outside world by setting up propaganda agencies to lead from point to point,by using external forces such as international friends,and by using mass media such as newspapers and broadcasts.After independent exploration,the CPC achieved some successes in image building during this period: it won the support of the people in the border areas,and the construction of the base areas was consolidated and developed;numerous intellectual youths from various regions in China went to Yan’an,which enhanced the recognition of the democratic parties and raised the image of the Party in China;it gained the recognition of international friends,and international news media reporters went to the border areas and the base areas to convey what they The international press traveled to the border areas and the base areas to spread what they had seen and heard to the outside world,promoting the Party’s international image.To summarize the historical experience of the CPC in image shaping during the Yan’an period,so as to provide experience and reference for the image building of the Party in the new era.Facing the new challenges in the new era,the CPC should grasp the initiative of image building,strengthen the construction of style and optimize image self-shaping;grasp the external discourse and lead image cognition;enhance the effectiveness of communication and promote image dissemination.
