In recent years,short videos have become the main source of mobile Internet time and traffic growth.As "Internet immigrants",middle-aged people have also joined the team to brush short videos.When people enjoy the convenience and pleasure brought by short videos,the problem of addiction is accompanied.This study combined media dependence theory and immersion theory to build a model of middle-aged users addicted to short mobile phone videos from two dimensions of individuals and environment,adopted questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview method to obtain research data,and used spss23.0 to conduct reliability and validity test and factor analysis of the data,and carried out correlation analysis and regression analysis of each variable.It is found that the susceptibility personality,dependent use and stress relief motivation have significant cant positive effects on the degree of short video addiction of middle-aged users.The level of social support,life satisfaction and self-control have a significant negative effect on middle-aged users’ excessive use of mobile short video.And the behavior of middle-aged users addicted to short videos will have a negative impact on their interpersonal relationships.A one-way ANOVA analysis of demographic characteristics and basic use of mobile short video shows that,except education,middle-aged users’ dependence on short video has no significant difference in gender,age,job type and other factors.Based on the research results,this paper puts forward prevention and mitigation suggestions for middle-aged users’ addiction to short mobile phone videos from the aspects of guiding middle-aged users to correctly recognize the use behavior of short mobile phone videos,carrying out media literacy education,enriching cultural life,relieving pressure and forming good living habits.
