Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Common Prosperity Of Rural Spiritual Life In Coastal Areas

The common prosperity in spiritual life is a new statement first made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 10 th meeting of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs in 2021.Meanwhile,the report to the 20 th National Congress of the CPC points out that Chinese modernisation is the modernisation of material and cultural-ethical advancement.Thus,in a great way to promote Chinese modernisation,achieving common prosperity in spiritual life is not only an indispensable part but also the central meaning to achieving the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The abundance of spiritual life is embedded in the essence of the common prosperity of socialism.The real ‘common prosperity’ refers to the ‘double prosperity’ of both material and spiritual life.Since the 18 th National Congress of CPC,under the leadership and great attention of the Central Committee of the CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core,China has achieved significant development in cultural-ethical construction.Besides,the spiritual life of the people is rich and fulfilling.Meanwhile,however,under the conditions of social material wealth continuing to grow,and people’s material life has been adequately guaranteed,there are still weaknesses in the field of spiritual life.Thus,the reality of the common prosperity of spiritual life still requires effort.At a new historical juncture,the urgent problem to be solved to achieve common prosperity in spiritual life is how to help people change their understanding of spiritual life,help them correctly understand the scientific concepts of the common prosperity of spiritual life,and then they can explore the way of realising the common prosperity of spiritual life.In addition,this problem is also a theoretical proposition and practical issue in the ideology education in China’s New Era.This research follows the logic of proposing,analysing,and solving problems.Weizhou Island in Beihai City was taken as a case to discuss the four aspects focusing on common prosperity of spiritual life,namely,relevant discussion,theoretical basis,current situation analysis and countermeasures.Hopefully,the research of this case can help to find targeted and rational ways to achieve common prosperity in spiritual life.Therefore,based on the field study of Weizhou Island in Beihai City,this research aims to systematically discuss and analyse the excellent situation,inadequacies and reasons for realising the common prosperity of spiritual life,in view of the importance of its geographical location,the integration of multiple cultures,the cultural diversity of Han ethnic groups and the abundance of tourism and cultural resources.From the research,it is worth acknowledging that the study of Core Values of Chinese Socialism for people in Weizhou Island is generally developing in a positive trend,and the cultural activities for spiritual life are diverse and rich,which have contributed to the achievement of common prosperity in spiritual life.Focusing on the problems of the large gap between the rich and the poor in spiritual life,the insufficient supply capability for the common prosperity of spiritual life on Weizhou Island,the deviant cognition in residents’ perception of the common prosperity of spiritual life and the lack of material support for a quality shared resources in spirit,this article aims to propose specific solutions in five aspects,which consists of ideological foundation,material foundation,cultural services,social construction and institutional construction,to help the smooth development and steady progress of the construction of common prosperity of spiritual life in coastal rural areas through the examples and proofs of these measures.And then,hopefully,these measures can promote the construction process of common prosperity in spiritual life within the whole society,provide realistic options to meet people’s aspiration for a better life and to better cope with the transformation of the main contradictions in society.Besides,the measures are inevitable need to achieve the common prosperity in China’s New Era and thus echo the inevitable need for the construction of Chinese modernisation.
