In 2019,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the state council issued the “Outline for the implementation of civic ethics in the new era”(the “New outline”),“We should focus on social morality,professional morality,family virtue and personal morality,” compared with the 2001 outline for the implementation of civic morality,“New outline” for the first time to clear the construction of personal morality as an important aspect of the construction of civic morality,fully illustrates the importance of the construction of personal morality.In the new era,the construction compliance,diligence and kindness,leniency and integrity,and self-improvement and self-discipline as the main contents,encourage good conduct in daily life " How to carry out the task of personal moral construction and how to nourish college students’ personal morality with Chinese traditional virtues are the issues that must be considered in the current ideological and political education.Chinese traditional virtue refers to the excellent moral heritage that has been handed down in the five thousand years of history of the Chinese nation,has a profound influence,and continues to inherit and develop in later generations.Its main content can be summarized as "benevolence,righteousness,propriety,wisdom,faith,honesty,shame,loyalty,filial piety,and fraternity".Personal morality is a stable psychological state and behavior habit formed by social moral education and personal self-conscious moral cultivation.It is the result of individual recognition and practice of certain moral requirements,and embodies the internal unity of moral cognition,moral emotion,moral will and moral behavior.Marxist morality,Communist Party of China’s main expositions on the construction of college students’ personal morality,and the relevant theories on college students’ personal morality in ideological and political education have become the theoretical origin of Chinese traditional virtues to nourish college students’ personal morality.Nourishing the personal morality of college students in the new era with Chinese traditional virtues is the need for colleges and universities to establish morality and cultivate people,the need for civic moral construction,and the need to inherit and carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture.Chinese traditional virtues nourish the personal morality of college students in the new era,which is conducive to the cultivation and practice of socialist core values,to the promotion of college students’ spiritual realm,and to the improvement of college students’ moral quality.it is conducive to creating a good atmosphere for the construction of university moral system and building a socialist harmonious society.In the process
