Research On The Privacy Policy Statement Content Of Mobile Reading APP

The rapid development of the internet has prompted mobile internet applications to fully integrate into people’s lives,promoting diversified consumption and gradually becoming an important force in the development of the digital economy.The rise of the "universal reading" wave,the expansion of digital reading scale,and the endless emergence of mobile reading apps have forced research on personal information protection.In an open environment,apps face the risk of infringing on user privacy information.Although the country recognizes the importance of protecting user personal information and takes corrective actions against illegal collection and use of personal information by apps in various fields,research on privacy policy statements in mobile reading apps is still in a fragmented stage,and there are many problems with privacy policy statements in mobile reading apps.This article summarizes the relevant research on mobile reading and personal information protection policies both domestically and internationally in the theoretical basis section,defining the concepts of personal information,privacy,mobile reading apps,and privacy policy statements.In practical research,taking the privacy policy statement of mobile reading apps as the starting point,we downloaded and browsed the privacy policy statement text of 100 mobile reading apps one by one,and used text analysis as the research method to construct a text analysis framework.We analyzed the external characteristics and text settings of the privacy policy statement of mobile reading apps,and analyzed the statement text from basic information,obligation disclosure,information security control Study the settings of user personal rights from four aspects,and study the level of personal information protection for mobile reading app users.After investigation and analysis,it was found that the privacy policy statement of the mobile reading app has issues such as unclear title naming,weak usability,insufficient protection,inaccurate content expression,insufficient completeness,weak targeting,and insufficient legal and regulatory supervision.In response to the above issues,optimization suggestions for privacy policy statements are proposed from multiple aspects,including standardizing title naming,enhancing the usability of statement content,increasing privacy policy protection,ensuring the accuracy of statement expression,improving the completeness of statement expression,strengthening the pertinence of privacy statements,improving regulatory basis,and creating a healthy and secure network environment.The aim is to improve the privacy policy statement of mobile reading apps provide assistance to improve the level of personal information protection provided by operators for users.
