Research On The Image Of The Chinese Communist Party During The Liberation War

During the Liberation War,the Communist Party of China was at a critical historical juncture,fighting for political legitimacy with the Kuomintang.This period is typical of the Communist Party of China’s image building and has also achieved remarkable results.By conducting a study on the image of the Communist Party of China during the Liberation War,this paper finds that,during this period,it persisted in its practical struggle and took an active role in fighting for the peaceful and democratic establishment of the country,establishing and consolidating the People’s Democratic United Front,resolving the land issue thoroughly,vigorously developing production,carrying out a campaign to reorganize the Party and the army,strengthening the Party’s political construction and clean government,and persisting in its struggle for the rights and interests of the people.At the same time,it had strengthened its theoretical construction,armed itself with Marxist theories,adhered to pragmatism and the mass line,and carried out propaganda with the help of newspapers and magazines,radio stations and films,music,poetry and other related propaganda,successfully portrayed the party in a good light.The image of the Communist Party of China during the Liberation War was manifested in four main ways.One is the image of a strong leader who is a revolutionary to the end.This image,in turn,is concretely expressed in the image of a leader who is patriotic and national salvation,a leader who is brave and courageous,who is tenacious in his struggle,and a revolutionary leader who is trusted by the people.Secondly,it is a strong defender of the people’s interests.This image is concretely expressed in the image of a defender of national interests who loves peace and pursues democracy,and the image of a defender of people’s interests who is pro-people and loves the people and works for their benefit.The third is the image of the great liberator of national suffering.The image of the national liberator who pursues democratic unity and freedom and equality,the image of the people’s liberator who insists on civil-military harmony and pro-people victory,and the image of the ideological liberator who dares to be a pioneer and break the confines.Finally,it is a clean and honest striver.This is concretely reflected in the image of being clean and selfless,yet self-reliant and hardworking.To sum up the Party’s image building during the Liberation War,there are several major lessons to be learnt.The first is to grasp the inner regulations.That is to say,to base the image on the nature of the purpose.The second is to clarify the fundamental positioning.This means that the party must adhere to the people’s position in its image building.The third is to adhere to practical standards.This means that the Party must shape its image through the test of practice.The fourth is to use the key ways.This means using the media for image building.In the new journey,the Party should pay attention to the historical experience of image building during the Liberation War.On this basis,the Party should take into account the current challenges and new goals and tasks facing the Party as well as the Party’s image building requirements,vigorously promote the common prosperity of all the people and consolidate its image of being pro-people,loving the people and working for the benefit of the people.And it should rely on the Party’s historical education platform and resources to maintain the image of a patriotic,democratic,strong and reliable leader.What’s more,it should continuously carry out self-revolution to consolidate the image of being clean,self-disciplined and impartial.And then it should improve the Party’s governing ability to shape the image of being courageous and ambitious.Finally,it should make comprehensive use of various propaganda media to manifest the image of a peaceful,open and trustworthy Party.
