A Study On The Government Functions In The Development Of Rural Tourism In City A

The report of the 20th CPC National Congress emphasized the development of the following five years is to comprehensively promote rural revitalization,adhere to the priority of agricultural and rural development,consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation,accelerate the construction of an agricultural power,and firmly promote the revitalization of rural industries,talents,culture,ecology,and organizations.Rural tourism is the major driving power for rural revitalization,which is linked with rural development,farmers’ income increase,agricultural modernization and other aspects.Therefore,rural tourism has been regarded as an important breakthrough in the realization of rural revitalization strategy.How to promote the high-quality development of rural tourism through the effective operation of government functions is an important issue that must be suffered at present and in the future.City A,with large quantity of tourism resources,good ecological environment,beautiful natural scenery,long history and culture,and different ethnic customs,is located in the central and western region in Guizhou province.Basically,City A has adequate tourism resource and climate condition to build a rural tourism destination.So far,City A’s rural tourism is in the initial exploration stage.Although some achievements have been made,there are still many shortcomings in this stage although some highlights have achieved.City A is not the specific city suffered similar problems,which to different extent appeared in some other cities if looked around the rural tourism industry of China.How the local government can drive the high-quality development of rural tourism by changing its functions and making up for its shortcomings has become an important issue that must be paid attention to and solved at present.The aim of this report,on the basis of summarizing the relevant theories of rural tourism development,with rich literature researching and questionnaires issuing,is to find the main problems existing in the development of rural tourism of City A,analyze the underlying reasons,draw lessons from the relevant experience of rural tourism development of other countries and finally give opinions and suggestions to promote the development of rural tourism in City A.
