| Objective:With the rapid development of informationization and multitasking in contemporary society, the attention of college students has been greatly challenged. In this paper, using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging,by measuring the sustained attention performance before and after acute taijiquan exercise and rest,to explore the analysis of the effect of acute taijiquan sustained attention for college students, from the perspective of neuroimaging revealed acute taijiquan on college students’ sustained attention related brain regions activated degree of influence,it provides experimental proof and theoretical basis for the formulation of exercise prescription to improve the continuous attention problem of contemporary college students, and has positive social significance and application value for the realization of the new health management model of "combination of physical and medical" and the promotion of Taijiquan. Methods:In the behavioral experiment,20 college students aged 18-30 were selected as the experimental subjects in Beijing Sport University, all of whom were practicing groups.Six training programs were set:practicing 2 times,3 times,4 times and a combination of 10 minutes and 15 minutes rest.Psychomotor Vigilance Test(PVT)was used to evaluate sustained attention function before and after practicing Taijiquan.A total of 20 behavioral data were collected, and "relatively optimal exercise program" was determined by statistical analysis and processing of behavioral experimental data.In the magnetic resonance experiment,Twenty-eight college students aged between 18 and 30 who met the experimental standards were recruited from Beijing Sport University and Peking University as experimental subjects.Three of them dropped out during the experiment due to personal reasons, and 25 of them were finally enrolled.Using an in-subject design, each subject was subjected to a sustained attention task while lying flat in the magnetic resonance before and after exercise("relatively optimal exerciseprogram")and before and after rest.A total of 25 behavioral data were collected and analyzed by mathematical statistics. At the same time, functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)was used to collect brain functional images of subjects before and after exercise,as well as before and after rest.A total of 25 magnetic resonance data were collected.AFNI toolkit was used for preprocessing and statistical analysis.Result:According to the analysis of behavioral experimental data, the results of"RT80 change value and change rate of average response time and RT10 change value and change rate of fastest response time" before and after exercise were not significant after one-way ANOVA(P>0.05).The following exploratory analysis compared the differences among the six programs, and it was found that program 3(practicing Tai Chi 3 times and resting for 10 minutes)had the best improvement trend for sustained attention. In the magnetic resonance experiment,1.According to the analysis of behavioral data, the average reaction time of RT80 was significantly different between pre-exercise and post-exercise,and the average reaction time was shortened when the average reaction time became faster after exercise,P=0.001.The average reaction time of RT80 before and after rest was significantly lower than that before and after exercise,P=0.001;The change rate of RT80 before and after rest was significantly lower than that before and after exercise,P=0.001.Similar to the results of RT80,RT10 has a very significant difference between before and after exercise. The fastest response time after exercise becomes faster, that is,the response time becomes shorter,P=0.001.The change of RT10 before and after rest was significantly lower than that before and after exercise,P=0.001;The change rate of RT10 before and after rest was significantly lower than that before and after exercise,P=0.001.2.Functional magnetic resonance data analysis,two-way ANOVA analysis of the activation caused by the push-button response of RT80 at average response time, revealed only significant interaction effects(p<0.005,lump-based correction,lump-size 109 voxels),located in the precuneus brain region. After the back testing analysis,it was found that the activation intensity of the precuneus increased after Taijiquan compared with that before Taijiquan, while the activation intensity of the precuneus decreased after rest.At the same time, the activation intensity of precuneus after Taijiquan was significantly higher than that after rest.Based on the RT10 activation plot at the fastest response time,we obtained results similar to,but less statistically significant to,RT80 at the average response time.Conclusion:1.Acute Tai Chi exercise has a certain improvement effect on the sustained attention of college students.2.Acute Tai Chi exercise increased the activation degree of precuneus, which may be because Tai Chi exercise regulates the activation pattern of brain regions related to sustained attention. |
