Preparation And Application Of Mental Wandering Scale For Pistol Athletes In Henan Province

Mind wandering refers to the phenomenon that when we are idle or completing a task,our attention begins to gradually shift from the external and task related information to the internal and task independent information.Pistol is a sport that requires continuous and high concentration of attention.If athletes have mental wandering in the process of training and competition,it will have a certain impact on the shooting hit rate.At present,the most commonly used measurement tool for the evaluation of mental migration is the scale.There are few published studies on mental migration of athletes,and the research on mental migration of pistol athletes is still in its infancy.The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation scale for the mental migration of pistol athletes,analyze the overall level of mental migration of pistol athletes,and provide a theoretical basis for the scientific training of athletes in the future.Research methods:(1)compile the scale.Firstly,conduct an open-ended questionnaire survey on the coaches and athletes of pistol event in Henan Province,collect the mental wandering materials of the athletes in the process of training and competition,and determine the initial scale combined with the opinions of psychological experts;Then,the initial scale was tested in two rounds.140 athletes were selected for the initial test.Through item analysis and exploratory factor analysis,the unsuitable items were deleted to ensure the good reliability of the scale;163 pistol athletes were selected for the formal test.Through confirmatory factor analysis,the structural model of the scale was modified to ensure that the scale has good structural fit;Finally,through the retest reliability and validity test,a formal "mental wandering scale of pistol athletes in Henan Province" was formed.(2)The application of the scale,through descriptive statistics,independent sample t-test and analysis of variance,and taking the self-made mental migration scale of pistol athletes in Henan Province as the measurement tool,this paper analyzes the overall level,gender differences,sports grade differences and sports years of pistol athletes in Henan Province.Results:(1)the formal Henan pistol athletes’ mental migration scale consists of three subscales: mental migration incentive scale,mental migration internal capacity scale and mental migration results scale,with a total of 9 dimensions and 30 items.Among them,the mental wandering inducement scale includes four dimensions:physical feeling,attention out of control,psychological gap and competition mood;Mental wandering capacity scale includes three dimensions: motor task results,motor task independence and motor task process;The mental migration outcome scale includes two dimensions: positive mental migration and negative mental migration.(2)In training and competition,the inducement of mental migration of athletes is mainly competition mood,the content of mental migration is mainly related to the process of sports tasks,and the result of mental migration is mainly negative;In terms of gender,male athletes have a higher frequency of mental wandering in the dimension of sports task results,and female athletes have a higher frequency in the dimension of sports task results than male athletes;In terms of sports level,the lower the sports level,the higher the frequency of athletes in the dimensions of competition mood,sports task independence and negative mental wandering;In terms of sports years,the shorter the sports years,the higher the frequency of athletes in the dimensions of attention out of control,psychological gap,competition mood,body feeling,sports task process,sports task independence and positive mental wandering.Conclusions:(1)the Henan pistol athletes’ mental migration scale compiled in this study has good reliability and validity,basically conforms to the standard of psychological measurement scale,and can be used as an effective measurement tool to evaluate the mental migration of pistol athletes in Henan Province.(2)In the process of training and competition,pistol athletes in Henan Province are easy to think of things related to the sports task process due to the competition mood,which will affect the current task results;The mental wandering frequency of male athletes is directly proportional to the result of sports task and inversely proportional to the process of sports task,while that of female athletes is the opposite;There is a significant negative correlation between athletes’ Sports grade and competition mood,sports task and negative mental wandering;There is a significant positive correlation between athletes’ Sports years and sports task results and negative mental wandering.
