| The promotion and popularization of the new College Entrance Examination(CEE)model enables students to choose the CEE subjects according to their interests and hobbies.With unique value and charm,many students turn to the geography,which makes its competitiveness in the CEE is increasing.Its means that to a large extent,the achievement in this discipline will affect whether students can stand out in the CEE.The examination of geography course in high school aims to directly test students’ mastery for the knowledge,which indirectly reflects students’ abilities and key competencies.Students are required to understand and master the core key and difficult points in the geography knowledge system and the degree of mastery for them often determines the level of students’ competitiveness in the examination.In order to better break through the key and difficult points of high school geography knowledge,lots of scholars and educators have made useful exploration and attempts.For example,trying dynamically presenting the key and difficult knowledge of geography by means of information technology,conducting the research by improving the teaching methods and breaking through the key and difficult knowledge by types,etc..Inquiry teaching method is a teaching method widely used in the field of subject teaching in recent years and favored by scholars and educators.Its philosophy owns unique advantages in breaking through the key and difficult knowledge.However,by reviewing the relevant research at home and abroad,the application of inquiry teaching method in breaking through the key and difficult points of high school geography teaching is rarely discussed.Based on Marxist Epistemology,Zone of Proximal Development,Theory of Constructivism and Theory of Humanistic Learning,taking Book 1 of Hunan version(2019)as an example,the methods,including literature review,text analysis,case analysis,comparative analysis and classroom observation are adopted in this research.According to the idea of “overview of background →investigation of current situation → theoretical research → text analysis → design of teaching case → teaching practice → comparative analysis of effect”,this research explores the application of inquiry teaching method in breaking through the key and difficult points of geography teaching in high school from the theoretical and practical perspectives.Based on the key and difficult contents of Book 1 of Hunan version,the principles of applying inquiry teaching method to break through the key and difficult contents of the geography teaching are discussed.In the meanwhile,the key and difficult points which can be solved through the inquiry teaching method are combed and summarized.Taking “ The process of water cycle and its geographical significance”as a case for teaching design,the traditional teaching method and inquiry teaching method are implemented at the same time.At last,the teaching effect is analyzed.The research results show that the inquiry teaching method is an effective method to help students understand and apply the key and difficult points of geography teaching to solve problems,and can help students perfect the cognitive system of“knowledge--ability--key competencies” of geography discipline.According to the research needs,the key and difficult knowledge in Book 1 of Hunan version are summarized and classified.At the same time,there is an adaptation analysis of the inquiry teaching method and the breakthrough of the key and difficult knowledge.And the principles and strategies of applying inquiry teaching method to break through the key and difficult points of geography teaching are also put forward.After the comparative analysis of the teaching effect of breaking through the key and difficult points with the traditional teaching method,the shortcomings of the inquiry teaching method are found.Then,the improvement measures and suggestions are presented.Taking the Book 1 of Hunan version as the example,this study completes the database fundamental establishment work of key and difficult points,explores the degree of adaptation of inquiry teaching method and key and difficult knowledge.In the meanwhile,through specific case,this research explores the teaching mode of applying inquiry teaching method to break through the key and difficult points.It not only provides new idea and approach to break through the key and difficult points in high school geography teaching,but also presents the case of theory construction and practical application to break through the key and difficult points by using the inquiry teaching method. |
