| Learning adaptability refers to the ability of individuals to adjust their learning behaviors according to the changes of learning conditions and the needs of learning,so as to coordinate with the changing learning environment and promote the improvement of learning effect.It is found that good learning adaptability is conducive to better academic performance,and poor learning adaptability is an important factor that causes some students to fail to reach the normal level of academic performance despite their normal intelligence.A Level is an internationally standardized curriculum set up by Cambridge Council for international high school candidates.The number of people sitting Cambridge A level exams in mainland China has exceeded 100,000 and there is a trend of continuous increase,so this study has theoretical and practical value.Firstly,this study defined the concept of physics learning adaptability.Secondly,this study compiled "Chinese students A Level of physical course learning adaptability scale"by referring to and summarizing other relevant literature and related factors that affect students’ bilingual learning adaptability of physics courses.Thirdly,taking three schools’students’ score of learning adaptability for example,research and analysis are carried out.The following seven main conclusions are drawn in this study.1.About 76%of Chinese students are not well adapted to A Level physics courses.2.There is no significant gender difference in the learning adaptability of A Level physics students.3.Students in the first year of A Level were significantly more adaptable than those in the preparatory,second and third years of high school.4.Students who started their IGCSE courses at the end of year 2 and then went on to A Levels were the most resilient.Students who started A Level courses after the high school entrance exam had the worst adaptive performance and after entering the third year of high school.5.The learning adaptability of A Level international students in Shanghai is significantly better than that in Suzhou.6.There was no significant difference in learning adaptability between private and public school students.7.The overall performance of learning adaptability was strongly correlated with all dimensions of the scale,but the degree was different.Based on the above research conclusions,the corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward:Improve the teaching quality of foreign teachers;Adding a preparatory year to help students overcome difficulties in learning physics in their non-native language;Pay attention to the preparation grade students’ learning habits;In teaching,emphasis should be placed on cultivating positive self-cognition attitude. |
