The Adjustment Research Of China’s Higher Education Discipline Structure Scale

State Planning Outline for Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development(2010-2020) has raised that it should optimize the discipline profession structure and the degree level structure of higher education,to adapt the economic and social development of China and its districts. What is the relationship between higher education and economic development? How to adapt? To begin with, this research based on the data of year 1994-2013, taking the discipline profession structure,industrial structure and employment structure as three systems, adopts the method of multiple canonical correlation analysis on the whole research of the relationship between the three. Results indicate that discipline profession structure has significant correlation with industrial structure and employment structure from the perspective of overall system. Both the first canonical correlation value is above 0.95. At the same time, this research measures their dominant factors in the process of evolution of China’s discipline profession structure, industrial structure and employment structure clearly for 20 years.Then, from the perspective of economic and social needs, adopting the partial least-square regression method to construct the prediction model of respective disciplinary scale. The accuracy of the prediction model(the variation of dependent variables’ data explained by the independent variables’ data) is 92.8%, and the results of the prediction is good. Meanwhile, constructing the time series forecasting model for the independent variables, thereby, we could conduct accurate forecast for the demand scale of graduates in each discipline. So that we could expect to make preparation and plan of adjustment for the discipline structure in advance, in the condition of knowing the economic and social development trend. So as to provide scientific basis for the adjustment of the discipline structure. Finally, for the problems and difficulties encountered in the research, combining the reality of our country, we put forward some countermeasures and analysis.
