Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the society pays more and more attention to the cultivation of compound applied talents.It is necessary to find another way to cultivate students’ innovative thinking to meet the society’s demand for applied talents."The biggest feature of the debate-style teaching method is to focus on the development of students’ subjectivity,as well as the cultivation of open-mindedness and independence.The activeness,challenge and confrontation of the teaching method itself are exactly in line with the physiological and psychological characteristics of young students.The characteristics of thinking can mobilize the enthusiasm of students to the greatest extent,tap the comprehensive ability of students,and make education change from "I want to learn" to "I want to learn".While cultivating students’ innovative thinking,it can better solve the social problem of application innovation.talent needs.This paper takes a middle school in Yan’an City as an example to conduct investigation and research,mainly using literature research method and questionnaire survey method to study the application of debate teaching method in the current senior high school.Firstly,according to the relevant theoretical basis and the relevant literature review at home and abroad,the relevant concepts of the debate-based teaching method are defined,and the characteristics and value of the debate-based teaching method are expounded,and then the debate-based teaching method is obtained by sorting out the collected questionnaires.In high school ideological and political courses,there are mainly problems that teachers and students have insufficient understanding of debate-style teaching,students’ participation in debate-style teaching is not strong,teachers and students have insufficient debate-related knowledge reserves,and teachers’ evaluation methods after debate are unscientific.The problems existing in the debate teaching method mainly analyze the reasons for the problems existing in the application of the debate teaching method in the high school ideological and political courses,including the lack of teachers and students’ awareness of debate teaching,the lack of teachers’ ability to debate teaching,the lack of debate teaching,and the lack of debate teaching.The evaluation method of debate-style teaching is single.Finally,on the basis of combining the problems and reasons,it is proposed that teachers and students actively cultivate the awareness of debate-style teaching,teachers consciously improve the ability of debatestyle teaching,schools help to form the trend of debate-style teaching,and teachers optimize the method of debate-style teaching evaluation.The countermeasures were applied to the teaching of ideological and political courses in senior high schools,and a case demonstration of the debate teaching method was carried out.
