| Generalization is a basic thinking ability of an individual to form a concept, which reflects the development level of an individual’s abstract thinking. In Chinese reading teaching, generalization ability is a core ability of students in reading, and the research on its thinking process will help us to think deeply about the teaching strategies to improve reading generalization ability. In the front-line teaching, there is a lack of systematic and targeted training for students’ reading generalization ability, and no attention is paid to the cognitive processing process of students’ generalization. From the perspective of cognitive psychology, this research explores the effective teaching methods to improve students’ reading generalization ability through empirical research. The study selected 124 students in the fifth grade of a primary school in Shandong Province.Students were divided into a prediction class,an induction class, and a control class. The prediction class was trained by the reading and prediction strategy course, the induction class was trained by the language induction and expression course, and the control class was only given questions and no curriculum training. The training time of the prediction class and the induction class lasted for 3weeks.Before and after the experiment, the students in the three classes were tested and compared, and the following conclusions were obtained:(1)A good reading summary requires memorizing accurate information, grasping the internal structure of the article, and having verbal inductive thinking.(2)The level of reading generalization can be improved by reading prediction training and language inductive expression training.(3)Reading prediction training has a significant effect on improving the accuracy dimension of generalization.(4)Language induction and expression training has a significant effect on promoting students’ concise expression.(5)The two training methods have a significant improvement effect on students at the middle and lower levels of generalization. |
