The 13th five year plan for educational informatization and The action plan for educational informatization 2.0 proposed to actively explore the new development mode of "Internet + education".Under this background,information technology has been rapid development.It has been confirmed by many studies that as one of the modern information technology,the application of AR in education will play a positive role on teaching.As one of the hot research topics of cognitive psychology,embodied cognitive theory also has guiding significance for education and teaching.As one of the enlightenment courses of natural science,junior high school chemistry occupies an important position in the process of students’ abstract thinking and cognitive development.It may affect the the follow-up study of chemistry in high school and even in university because students do not lay a good foundation in the learning process of junior middle school chemistry courses,The design and development of junior high school chemical educational APP with AR technology guiding by the embodied cognitive theory,is not only a process of materializing the abstract chemical knowledge a utilization model,but also a process of reducing the danger of chemical experiments,protecting students’ personal safety and preventing chemical environmental pollution.In this paper,we first analyze the domestic and foreign research status and the AR technology applied in chemistry teaching.With this purpose,the research direction of the design and development of APP in AR junior high school chemistry educational under the guidance of embodied cognitive theory is clarified;Secondly,by analyzing the integration of embodied cognitive theory and education and teaching,introduce the design principles of educational APP,which is the basics of the design of functional modules and interaction methods.The work was then implemented using the modeling software C4 D and the development engine Unity 3D;Finally,the educational APP is applied and evaluated in many ways by graduate students,junior middle school teachers and students.The experimental class and the control class were designed to compare the difference between using the educational APP and traditional teaching methods.This aims to test the actual teaching application effect of the educational APP.The conclusion of this study are: the educational APP with AR technology guiding by the embodied cognitive theory can improve the effect of students’ learning chemistry knowledge,especially in the learning of chemistry experiment phenomenon,and it is found that students’ behavior will be more active,the interchange between teachers and students,students and students are more frequent under the educational APP teaching design.
