| Data news is a new forms of news reporting under the background of big data era.As a hot topic in today’s news industry,data news greatly improves the visual and experiential nature of news.Still,has far-reaching significance for news production and dissemination at the present stage.Focusing on and analyzing the narrative discourse of data journalism from the perspective of visual narrative is not only conducive to expanding the application scope of news narratiology in the field of data journalism creation,but also provides reference and inspiration for narrative strategy in the future practice of visual content.This paper,through repeated comparison in the research process,chooses sports data news topics with high attention in domestic and foreign media for research.At the same time,so as to ensure the comparability of sports data news reports at home and abroad,the scope of research samples will be analyzed in the recent three Olympic Games(the most prestigious sporting event in the world).In other words,London 2012,Rio 2016,and Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games were selected as case samples.A total of 203 data news visualization reports at home and abroad were collected,compared and analyzed.In terms of research content,it follows the research path of "sample analysis,narrative discussion,creative practice,summary thinking" and is divided into four modules.Module 1: Sample analysis: 203 sports data news reports at home and abroad are taken,and comparative analysis is made.The analysis focused on three aspects which are;report theme,data channel,and presentation mode.Module 2: Narrative discussion: It is done on the basis of sample analysis,with the help of theory and the combination with visual narrative.The topics discussed include sports data news,narrative structure,narrative Angle,and narrative mode.This lays a theoretical foundation for the graduation creation practice.Module 3: Creation practice: It involves the application visualized narrative mode of sports data news to the creation practice of graduation works.It is based on the geographical advantages of Xi ’an,where the 14 th Games of the People’s Republic of China will be held in September 2021.Module 4: Summary and thinking: It is based on theoretical analysis,creation practice,and summarizing the narrative laws and trends of sports data news.In terms of research conclusions,through the above analysis,it was found that the visual reports of sports data news at home and abroad showed the following problems: First,the selection of topics in the domestic sports data news samples was unevenly distributed,the emphasis on labeling data sources was not high enough,the professional norms in the narrative context were lacking,and there was a considerable gap between domestic and foreign samples in the use and visual presentation of data;second,the narrative effect was uneven,the narrative mode was dominated by linear narratives,and the proportion of interactive data news was small.New requirements have been put forward for media platforms in talent training and data production technology.Third,many domestic sports data journalism works have problems such as too much pursuit of visual design,so that audience positioning is contrary to narrative content.How to allow full play to the advantages of visual narrative in interpreting the connection between text information and revealing things,it is necessary to rationally use the characteristics of news narratives,upgrade the traditional narrative mode,make it better integrate into sports data news reports,and motivate the high-quality progress of domestic sports data news. |
