A Follow-up Study On The Changes Of Body Shape And Physical Quality Of Young Men’s Volleyball Players In China

Body shape and physical quality are two important elements of physical fitness.Modern competitive volleyball is developing in the direction of strength,speed and height.For a long time,the stagnant performance of China’s men’s volleyball team is directly related to the low level of physical quality.The development of physical quality such as strength,speed,coordination and sensitivity is affected by the level of human growth and sports training.Therefore,we must start from the youth stage and lay a solid foundation for physical quality.China’s young men’s volleyball players,as the reserve force of China’s volleyball industry,directly determine the competitive level of adult men’s volleyball.Among the 14 provincial and municipal teams participating in the national youth men’s volleyball team training from 2014 to 2019,16 athletes with an initial age of 15 years who participated in the training for four consecutive years were selected as the tracking objects,and the research methods such as literature,mathematical statistics,expert interview and logical analysis were used,This paper analyzes the continuous changes of body shape and quality indexes of young men’s volleyball players in order to master their development laws and characteristics.The results show that:(1)The total height of young men’s volleyball players in China has increased by 3.81 cm in the four years from 15 to 18.The growth peak has passed,and the growth trend gradually slows down to the level of adult players at the age of 18.(2)The average weight of 18 years old is 80.11 kg,which is quite different from the average weight of Chinese adult men’s volleyball team(85.14kg);(3)The ketolet index is low.At the age of 18,the average ketolet index of the test subjects is 413.28,which has a large gap with China’s adult men’s volleyball team(434.54)and the world’s elite volleyball players(440),which is related to light weight;(4)In the same age group,the length of interphalangeal distance is greater than the height,and the arm span is greater than the height,which is in line with the characteristics of volleyball and is more consistent with the growth and change of hand foot distance.(5)The total performance of run-up and touch high has increased by21.43 cm,and the growth rate between the ages of 15-17 is relatively large,with an increase of 8.47 cm and 9.46 cm respectively.However,according to the syllabus of Chinese youth volleyball training,the score of run-up and touch high performance in the corresponding age group is low.(6)The total performance of standing long jump increased by 23.24 cm,which was more obvious in the stage of 17-18 years old.The performance of the same age group was significantly better than the run-up and touch height,and the explosive power of lower limbs and the strength of lumbar and abdominal muscles were superior;(7)The results of half meter word movement and 30 meter run do not show a linear growth trend.The results decline in the age group of 16-17 years old,and show a growth trend in other age groups.The scores of the two indicators are high,with good sensitivity and moving speed.(8)With the increase of age,the correlation between various indicators of physical fitness becomes smaller and smaller.The correlation between run-up touch height and speed indicators such as 30 meter run and half meter word movement decreases gradually until the age of 18.According to the above results,the following conclusions are drawn: at the age of15-18,the golden stage of height growth of men’s volleyball players has passed,and the growth trend is gradually slowing down.The increase of body weight between the ages of15-16 and 16-17 is relatively significant,but there is a large gap between ketole index and world elite athletes,and there is a phenomenon of light weight.The age of 17 is the dividing point for the "sudden change" of strength.At the same time,it is also the best stage to realize the transformation of athletes from youth to adulthood and start to increase the training intensity and load.At this time,the height of players is close to adulthood,and their weight,run-up touch height,standing long jump and other achievements show a large increase.It is a good period for developing strength and jumping quality,However,the approach height and vertical jump ability are lack,and the coordination ability under complex conditions is insufficient,which deserves the attention of coaches.
