| Using the survey data collected from Chengdu and Taiyuan cities on the marriage outlook of high-educated young people, this paper compares and explains the spouse selection and marriage outlook of high-educated young people in Chengdu and Taiyuan cities from the perspective of comparative sociology, and analyzes and explains them using the relevant sociological theories. The survey results showed that, among the four indicators of choosing a spouse, the high-educated youths in Chengdu city considered "similarity between the two parties" first, followed by"socio-economic conditions","personal conditions of the other party" and "family background"."This indicates that there is no significant difference between the two cities in terms of the tendency to choose a spouse among high-educated young people.Controlling the personal factors and family factors affecting the selection of spouse, and using the geographical area as the independent variable to build a multiple regression model,it is found that among the personal conditions of the other party, compared with the highly educated youth in Taiyuan City, the highly educated youth in Chengdu City will pay more attention to the personal conditions of the other party;among the similarity of the two parties, compared with the highly educated youth in Taiyuan City, the highly educated youth in Chengdu City will pay more attention to the similarity of the two parties. The other two indicators do not have such linear correlations. In terms of marital outlook, the marital outlook of the high-educated youth in Chengdu tends to be diversified;the sexual concept is more conservative and mixed;the willingness to live with parents after marriage is stronger;influenced by the traditional fertility concept, the fertility outlook tends to be diversified and gender preference is not obvious;the attitude toward divorce is more tolerant. The marriage views of high-educated youth in Taiyuan show the same characteristics.Taking the geographical area as the independent variable, the view on marriage, sexual concept, willingness to live after marriage, willingness to have children, and attitude toward divorce as the dependent variables,it is found that these variables are independent and unrelated to each other, that is,there is no correlation between the geographical area and the view on marriage, and the agreement of the view on marriage among the high-educated youth in Chengdu and Taiyuan is basically the same.A comparative perspective to study the marriage views of highly educated youths between different regions can not only make up for the weaknesses of the current study on marriage views, but also guide highly educated youths to establish a more civilized, healthy and rational marriage view in a targeted way. This study adopts the questionnaire method, firstly,we design a questionnaire on the marriage view of highly educated youths by combining relevant literature and theories, then we test the internal consistency reliability of the questionnaire by using Kronbach coefficient, and test the structural validity by using factor analysis, and find that the questionnaire has good reliability and validity and can be used as a measurement tool. Then, the questionnaire was used to interview the highly educated youths in Chengdu and Taiyuan cities as the research subjects. The corresponding sampling size ratio was determined according to the total population ratio of highly educated youths between the two cities, and then the corresponding sampling size was obtained from each district of the two cities by stratified sampling method, and then a field questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain the corresponding questionnaire information, and a comparative study was conducted on this basis. |
