It is the common goals of popular science work and Olympic education in our country to promote the scientific literacy and comprehensive quality of the youth and promote their all-round development in the new journey of building socialist modernization in an allround way in the new era.The ice and snow science activities during the Beijing Winter Olympics are an innovative blend of Olympic education and science popularisation activities.Meeting the needs of the public while using Winter Olympics knowledge and snow and ice sports as a good carrier for science popularization,not only enriches and improves the system construction of science popularization work in science and technology museums,but also promotes and popularizes Olympic education and snow and ice sports knowledge and skills.This paper uses questionnaires,literature research,field surveys,mathematical statistics and interviews to investigate and research the development of ice and snow science popularization activities in Chinese science and technology museums.The following conclusions were drawn:Ice and Snow science popularization innovatively integrates the education of the Winter Olympics with the popularization of science and technology,realizes the innovation of the form and content of Olympic educational activities,and promotes the public’s participation in ice and snow sports on the basis of improving the public’s correct cognition of ice and snow sports.In addition,the application of digital science museum and simulation virtual system in ice and snow science activities provides a brand new platform for Winter Olympics education and ice and snow sports,and provides a reference case for the development of digitalization and virtualization of different sports events.According to the investigation on the audience of physical exhibition and mobile exhibition,the audience of ice and snow science popularization activities have a good foundation of ice and snow sports,and they have diversified ways to learn about the Winter Olympics and ice and snow sports,while the main reasons that hinder the public to participate in ice and snow sports are personal restrictions and structural restrictions.The main motivation for the audience to participate in the snow and ice science popularization activities is to satisfy their curiosity and acquire knowledge.The majority of the audience participating in the snow and ice science popularization activities of the Science and Technology Winter Olympics are in a good condition in terms of their participation time,interest in exhibits,information contained in and understanding of the science and technology exhibits,operation of exhibits or watching demonstrations to help the audience understand the science and technology connotation of the exhibits.It shows that the audience experience better in the snow and ice science activities.The participation of the audience in the ice and snow science exhibition has a positive impact on their grasp of the knowledge related to the Winter Olympics.In addition,the mastery of relevant knowledge and skills will further improve their correct cognition of ice and snow sports,thus promoting their participation in ice and snow sports.In addition,the audience has a high degree of satisfaction with ice and snow science education and the willingness to participate in related themed activities again.The visitors of ice and snow science popularization activities come from different regions.In this study,the visitors of the physical exhibition mainly come from Beijing.As the host city of the Winter Olympic Games,Beijing has rich resources of ice and snow sports and a strong atmosphere of ice and snow culture,which provides more opportunities for local residents to participate in ice and snow sports.The visitors of mobile exhibition mainly come from the residents of counties or towns in less developed areas or remote areas.Some areas lack the natural environment and infrastructure to carry out ice and snow sports,so the visitors of mobile exhibition have a weak foundation for ice and snow sports.Secondly,the mobile exhibition simplifies the scene and reduces the maintenance cost while unable to carry too many exhibits.As a result,the audience of mobile exhibition has a slightly lower participation time,interest in exhibits and understanding of the contents of exhibits,and the popular science effect is also lower than that of physical exhibition.Therefore,it is an important basic condition to guarantee the popularization effect of mobile exhibition to ensure the duration of ice and snow science popularization activities,complete allocation of science popularization exhibits and professional personnel.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following suggestions:1)Enrich and improve the construction of snow and ice science resources,and strengthen the innovation and maintenance of snow and ice science exhibits;2)Enhance the application of digital science popularization and virtual simulation system,and broaden the way of sports promotion;3)Strengthen the professional training of popular science education staff,and improve the service level of ice and snow popular science exhibition;4)Continue to carry out science popularization activities on ice and snow to realize effective utilization of science popularization resources on ice and snow;5)Jointly explore the working mode of sports science popularization with experts and scholars,and strengthen the scientific research of sports science popularization. |
