| With the rapid development of technology,artificial intelligence has become an important technical field,which has greatly advanced the productivity and efficiency of the information age,realising intelligent data processing,decision-making and interaction,and inaugurating the development of the digital age.In order to ensure the sustainable and stable development of AI education,the state has introduced relevant policies to plan and guide the cultivation and output of AI talents,and has strongly supported the deep development of AI education in China,which has led to its blossoming in the country.However,AI education in China started late,and there is little research on AI curriculum content,teaching design and implementation at the basic education level.Based on such a background,this paper starts from the school-based curriculum of Machine Learning in WF primary school in Y.Taking the fifth grade students of this primary school as the research object,the design-based research method is used to try to construct a reasonable scaffolding model for project-based learning to meet the needs of project-based teaching in the primary school’s Machine Learning curriculum.The specific research process includes:firstly,a summary of the curriculum and teaching methods of AI education,a review of the current research status of projectbased learning and scaffolding design at home and abroad,a definition and elaboration of relevant concepts and theoretical foundations,and a clarification of the research content and research direction.Secondly,according to the school-based curriculum of Machine Learning,the learners and teaching contents are analysed,the teaching organisation form and teaching process are clarified,and a preliminary scaffolding model for project-based teaching in the primary school’s Machine Learning curriculum is constructed;the research tools were designed with reference to previous research results.Thirdly,the above model was used to scaffold the teaching content in the Machine Learning classroom,and research was conducted on the practicality and usefulness of the project-based learning scaffolding model for three rounds of iterative teaching practice.At the end of each round,the results of the teaching practice are analysed,problems arising from the study are summarised and improvements are made,scaffolding is added or deleted,and the scaffolding model is then improved.Fourthly,the scaffolding model for the project-based teaching of Machine Learning in primary schools is summarised and key points to be noted in the implementation process are proposed,with a view to providing reference for the mapping and practice of AI teaching in this stage.The study shows that the scaffolding model designed in the project-based teaching of the Machine Learning curriculum can be implemented into all aspects of projectbased learning,enhance students’ interest in learning,provoke students to think deeply,assist students in group collaboration,and promote better project-based learning. |
