With the development of information society,information technology,as a compulsory course in junior high school,has a very important nurturing value.Driven by the wave of curriculum reform in basic education,project-based learning focuses on the cultivation of students’ core literacy and the improvement of students’ abilities in all aspects,which has become one of the indispensable teaching mode in current junior middle school information technology teaching.However,there are many problems in the development process of junior middle school information technology project-based learning,which lead to unsatisfactory teaching quality.By searching relevant literature and combining with the actual teaching situation,it is found that the question scaffolding,as the most common learning scaffolding in project-based learning,can promote students to think deeply and help students overcome difficulties in learning.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore how to design and apply question scaffolding in junior high school information technology project-based learning,provide effective help and support for students to carry out project-based learning through the form of problems,so as to inspire students to think deeply,promote students’ problem solving,and guide students to successfully complete the tasks at each stage of project-based learning step by step.The research mainly includes five stages: First,review the relevant literature.In this study,literature analysis was used to understand the research status of project-based learning and question scaffolding at home and abroad,focusing on the research status of question scaffolding in project-based learning,clarifying the relationship between the two,and further focusing on the research issues.Second,conduct a status survey.To investigate the application status of question scaffolding in junior high school information technology project-based learning,analyze the practical application situation,attitude,needs and suggestions of teachers and students for question scaffolding in current junior high school information technology project-based learning,so as to find problems and provide practical guidance for the design of question scaffolding in the later stage.Third,put forward the design basis and principle.In view of the question scaffolding in the investigation of the current situation,from the four aspects of the basic steps and characteristics of project-based learning,the existing question scaffolding design results,junior high school information technology curriculum training objectives,junior high school students’ psychological and cognitive characteristics,put forward the design basis of junior high school information technology project-based learning question scaffolding,and determine the design principles.Fourthly,different types of question scaffolding and their application frames are designed.According to the design basis and principles,eight kinds of question scaffolding suitable for junior middle school information technology project-based learning are designed,and the application framework of question scaffolding is put forward.Eight different types of question scaffolding are used throughout the whole process of project-based learning.Fifth,carry out experiments.The quasi-experimental research model of single-factor non-peer group pre and post test design is adopted.A series of question scaffolding designed in this study are applied to project-based learning in the experimental class,while the control class adopts the conventional project-based learning teaching model.After the end of the experiment,the results were verified through the quality evaluation of project works,the feeling and evaluation questionnaire of project-style learning,the feeling interview after the application of the question scaffolding and the information technology academic test,and other forms,and the research conclusions were drawn.There are two main research results in this study.First,a series of question scaffolding that can be applied to junior middle school information technology project-based learning are designed.There are eight types of scaffolding,including question-topic selection scaffolding,question-suggestion scaffolding,question-representation scaffolding,question-program formulation scaffolding,question-program modification scaffolding,question-program execution scaffolding,question-communication guidance scaffolding,and question-reflective evaluation scaffolding.Second,the question scaffolding have been effectively applied and achieved good results.The experiment results show that the application of a series of question scaffolding designed in this research is beneficial to inspire students to think deeply,promote students to solve problems,guide students to successfully complete the project learning task,and promote the development of students’ project learning ability.Finally,to help students achieve good project learning results and improve their academic performance in information technology.However,this study also has some shortcomings.In future studies,the question scaffolding need to be improved according to the actual situation,so as to further play the role of the question scaffolding.
