Research On The Competitive Characteristics Of Chinese And Foreign Athletes In Snowboard Slalom Pursuit Competition

As a new snowboarding event,snowboarding obstacle chase is an important part of China’s ice and snow sports.Although it has achieved the expected goal of all competitions at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics,there are still relatively obvious differences between the sports level and competitive strength of the world’s top athletes.At present,with the end of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics,China has entered the preparation cycle for the new Winter Olympics.If Chinese snowboarders want to make greater breakthroughs in the obstacle chase competition of snowboarding in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympic Games and achieve steady improvement in their competitive performance,they must constantly strengthen their sports level and competitive strength.However,from the current development situation,China’s snowboarding obstacle chase competition started late,not only the number of athletes engaged in the event is relatively limited,but also the overall competitive level is low;Moreover,the cognition of the essence,rules and characteristics of the sport skills of the snowboarding obstacle chase is relatively limited;As a result,the scientific level of training is not high,and it is difficult to effectively comprehensively improve the competitive level of our athletes.This makes it necessary to clarify its development trend and characteristics and analyze the competitive differences between China’s snowboarding obstacle chasers and the world’s high-level athletes in order to change the inferior situation of China’s snowboarding obstacle chasers.This study takes the competitive characteristics of Chinese and foreign athletes in the snowboarding slalom chase as the research object,and takes the top three men’s and women’s athletes in the snowboarding slalom chase at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games,as well as the top three Chinese athletes Ye Kangjia and Feng He as the research objects,and uses the methods of literature,field research,expert interviews,video analysis,and mathematical statistics,This paper makes a systematic study on the technical application and competitive methods of Chinese and foreign athletes during the2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.The results show that:(1)Snowboarding obstacle chase is a branch of the snowboarding sports,with the main characteristics of "multi-person competition" and time trial.The event system consists of six parts,namely,qualification,1/8 final,1/4 final,1/2 final,minor final and major final.Snowboarding obstacle chase has the characteristics of fast sliding speed,high intensity and high risk.The competitive elements are mainly composed of five aspects: sliding technology,sliding rhythm,sliding tactics,sliding speed and sliding skills.(2)The competitive characteristics of the snowboarding obstacle chase competition are mainly embodied in three aspects: speed,competition in the same field and skill.The main performance of speediness is that the athletes use the snowboard to quickly glide in a specific track to achieve victory by first reaching the end of the race;The same-field antagonism in the snowboarding obstacle chase competition,although it shows the difference in the initial reaction time,the time of each section and the time of the whole process,is the antagonism of the athletes’ starting ability,the antagonism of the sliding speed and the antagonism of the sliding control;Skillfulness is shown in the snowboarding obstacle chase competition.High-level athletes show stronger ability to use ski skills,more diverse use of ski techniques,more stable control of ski posture,smooth sliding,and strong ability to maintain speed when passing through curves or obstacles.(3)Compared with the world’s high-level athletes,the competitive disadvantages of Chinese snowboarding obstacle chase athletes are mainly reflected in the slow sliding speed,insufficient sliding skills,weak competition in the same field and poor sliding rhythm.The slow taxiing speed is mainly manifested in that the timing of the taxiing speed in each section and the whole taxiing speed take a long time,which is a big gap compared with the world’s high-level athletes;The main reasons for these problems lie in the poor basic skills of taxiing,the lack of ability to use competition tactics,the lack of physical strength and the lack of competition experience.(4)In view of the deficiencies in the competitive ability of the current Chinese snowboarding obstacle chase athletes,this paper proposes to strengthen the basic skills of skiing and improve the level of technology application;Deepen the ability of tactical application and improve competitive strength;Strengthen physical training,improve physical fitness,encourage more athletes to participate in international competitions,enrich competition experience and other countermeasures,so as to promote the continuous improvement of the competitive level of Chinese snowboarding slalom chase athletes.
