Since the official promulgation of the Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),the infiltration of labour education in language subjects has no longer remained only at the level of the outline of labour education guidelines,but has begun to become the guiding ideology of the new curriculum,extending in the direction of practical education;this not only responds to the studies on the image of labourers in primary school textbooks,and most of the studies on the image of labourers appear in the form of sub-part and are fragmented.This study is based on Norman Norman’s "critical discourse analysis".Based on Norman Fairclough’s theory of critical discourse analysis,this study examines nine sets of primary school language textbooks since the founding of New China,using three aspects: textual analysis,discourse practice analysis and social practice analysis,documentary research,content analysis,historical research and comparative analysis,to examine the the existing research,looks forward to future development.The first chapter is the introduction,which first discusses the reason and theoretical significance of the topic selection;secondly,by China.Firstly,the frequency of words describing the external image and internal quality of laborers in the text is counted,so as to know the general situation of the image changes of laborers in primary school Chinese textbooks since the founding of New China.Then,analyze the illustrations in the text depicting the images of individual laborers and collective laborers,so as to understand the external characteristics of the images of laborers in different historical periods,so as to gain insight into what values the author abides by when portraying the images of laborers,and whether there are stereotypes,etc.Finally,it summarizes the artistic images of laborers in various periods in the text,and tries to make a preliminary discussion on the changes of laborers’ images in primary school Chinese textbooks since the founding of New China.The fourth chapter is the analysis of discourse practice,focusing on the analysis of the constituent elements of the text,including: annotations in the textbook,quotations,supplementary materials after class,extended exercises,writing techniques,rhetorical techniques,etc.where the meaning lies.For example,through the mutual discourse analysis of the annotations and quotations in the textbook,and the clear intertextual analysis of the supplementary materials and extended exercises related to the text,the significance lies in the in-depth understanding of the way the image of laborers is formed.By analyzing the writing techniques and rhetorical techniques of text sentences,the significance is to appreciate the verbal charm of the laborers’ images vividly on paper.The fifth chapter is the analysis of social practice,mainly from the two aspects of ideology and social development.Among them,ideological analysis is to place textbooks in educational policy documents such as curriculum standards and syllabuses at that time,because they are the embodiment of the will of the country,the carrier of mainstream ideology,the basis for textbook compilation,and the understanding behind the discourse.The key to power.The social development analysis,on the other hand,places the depiction of the image of laborers in a certain historical period in a broad social context,and examines the impact of changes in social factors on the changes in the discourse of laborers in textbooks.Chapter sixth is thinking and outlook,which not only summarizes the characteristics of "change" and "unchanged" of laborers’ images in primary school Chinese textbooks since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,but also combines the newly promulgated "Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)".The "Suggestions for Compilation of Textbooks" put forward five suggestions for the shaping of the image of laborers in the future primary school Chinese textbooks.Firstly,to shape the image of a hero and soldier who protects the family and the country in the new era;Secondly,to shape image of poverty alleviation cadres and the heroes in the fight against the "epidemic";thirdly,to shape the image of outstanding female laborers in the new era;fourthly,to shape the image of inheritors of intangible cultural heritage;fifthly,to shape the image of ordinary laborers who are close to life and devote themselves to the great journey of socialist modernization in the new era.
