In the teaching of graphics and geometry in middle school mathematics, the focus of classroom teaching is to cultivate students ’ geometric intuition and reasoning ability, and help students establish spatial concepts. In traditional classrooms, geometric figures and related movements are difficult to visually present, and it is difficult for students to truly understand their connotations based on abstract conceptual descriptions in textbooks. The new edition of "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education " in 2022 proposes to promote the integration of mathematics curriculum and information technology. As a dynamic geometric tool in the 21 st century, the geometric sketchpad will play a great role if it can be reasonably applied in the classroom teaching of graphics and geometry. There have been many studies on the integration of geometric sketchpad into classroom teaching before, but they all focus on the specific examples of the application of geometric sketchpad in classroom teaching. However, the research on teaching strategies from the perspective of teachers is rarely mentioned. Therefore, the main research content of this paper is : Research on the strategy of geometric sketchpad assisting middle school graphics and geometry teaching.Firstly, taking the junior middle school mathematics textbook of Jiangsu Science and Technology Edition as the research object, this paper analyzes the textbook text of graphics and geometry, counts the distribution of graphics and geometry, and studies its characteristics, teaching function and educational value. It is found that graphics and geometry are intuitive, abstract and interactive, which can stimulate students ’ interest in learning, implement students’ core literacy in mathematics, and cultivate students ’ spatial concept and geometric intuition. The author distributes paper questionnaires to mathematics teachers in the whole school, and fills out electronic questionnaires in one class from each of the three grades. The results are summarized and statistically analyzed in order to understand the actual situation of geometric sketchpad applied to graphics and geometry teaching from both teachers and students. The survey results show that for the Geometer ’s Sketchpad, the internal motivation of students ’learning is strong. Most students can recognize its importance and show a positive learning state.Teachers are also more recognized for the Geometer ’s Sketchpad. However, due to the influence of equipment, time and other factors, the Geometer ’s Sketchpad cannot be integrated into the daily classroom teaching. Therefore, this paper makes the Geometer ’s Sketchpad more natural and efficient into the classroom teaching with the help of micro-course and thematic teaching.Secondly,it is the strategy research of geometric sketchpad assisted classroom teaching.Combined with the previous and previous research results, three principles of geometric sketchpad assisted classroom teaching are proposed : appropriateness, inquiry and effectiveness. From the two aspects of teachers and students, the teaching strategies of geometric sketchpadassisted classroom teaching are proposed : for teachers, enhance teaching awareness, suggest natural integration into auxiliary teaching, deepen teaching, break up the whole into parts, adhere to micro-teaching,and integrate resources to carry out thematic teaching;for students,it is recommended to strengthen basic learning based on textbooks, expand practical independent innovation learning, and join interest-oriented mathematics associations. Finally, the teaching practice of graphics and geometry teaching in junior high school assisted by geometric sketchpad is carried out.According to the proposed teaching principles and teachers ’ teaching strategies, the micro-course teaching of ’ graphic rotation ’ and the special teaching of ’ general drinking horse problem ’ are designed and implemented.
