| Since the 1980 s and 1990 s,China began to implement the one-child policy.Nowadays,a generation of young people as only children have gradually entered the society.With the change of national policies,social economy and ideology,more and more young people choose the profession of seaman.Due to the shrinking family size and the special nature of their children’s work,the parents of one-child seafarers often face the dilemma of family empty nest.A series of negative emotions such as loneliness and loneliness caused by the lack of companionship are greatly affecting the emotional health of this group.Compared with urban communities,the parents of sailors with only child in rural areas are in the situation of lack of social support,inadequate life security,monotonous entertainment,and relatively low sense of life happiness and gain.Therefore,it is necessary to study the loneliness of seafarers’ parents in rural communities.This study conducts a practical research on the loneliness problems of this group,and deeply explores the significance and value of group working methods in social work in alleviating the loneliness of parents of only-child seafarers in rural communities.The study aims to alleviate the loneliness of parents of only-child seafarers,based on the ecosystem theory and social support theory,and practice social work in the form of group intervention.The social work practice intervention with mutual support group as the carrier has a good effect on alleviating the loneliness of the parents of seafarers with rural only child.Based on the practical experience,this paper summarizes the process and reflection of the activity,and on this basis,it puts forward some suggestions on alleviating the loneliness of seafarers’ parents from the actual situation of the group activities. |
