“The prosperity of a country alongside with the educational development.” Today,the development of marine education has received a lot of attention when advocating a maritime power.Marine education at the basic education level has also become a key field of exploration,and the marine education for students has gradually shifted from the realm of consciousness to the realm of literacy.Marine literacy has become one of the necessary qualities for people in the future.Therefore,the article positions the research on the improvement of students’ marine literacy in the basic education stage,and takes the marine elements in the current compulsory education general compulsory Chinese textbooks as the research object,hoping to provide relevant thinking and suggestions for improving the marine literacy of students in the basic education stage.The main content of the article is divided into six parts: First,in the introduction part,it mainly discusses the background and problems of the research from the three aspects of national development,textbook deepening,and comprehensive growth of students,summarizing the four aspects of “marine literacy”,“compiled Chinese textbook”,“marine element” and “ocean in Chinese textbook” to understand the current research status of marine education and Chinese textbooks.In addition,the research method and the definition of related concepts are also explained in the introduction,which finally formed the thinking and framework of this research.Second,based on the theory of marine literacy,the index system of marine elements is constructed.(They are marine political elements,marine humanistic elements,marine scientific elements and marine environmental elements,including 4 first-level indicators,12 second-level indicators and 24 third-level indicators)It also explores the relationship between marine elements and marine literacy.The third and fourth parts take the two stages of elementary and junior high schools as examples respectively to carry out statistical analysis of the marine elements in the unified Chinese textbook,and carry out corresponding theoretical research and practical exploration.Fifth,explore the practical aspects of integrating marine elements into Chinese teaching with the help of three forms: basic Chinese compulsory courses,Chinese theme teaching courses,and Chinese study travel courses.Sixth,based on the above research,we will conduct realistic reflections on the improvement of students’ marine literacy from the six perspectives of policy guarantee,system support,experience reference,curriculum construction,thinking change,and ability improvement.Finally,in the conclusion,the deficiencies of the article research are put forward.
