| The era of great social change must be the era of great development in philosophy and social sciences.The official release of the "New Liberal Arts Declaration" in 2020 marks the transition of traditional liberal arts towards a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,based on unprecedented changes in a century.The focus of the construction of new liberal arts lies in the exploration and practice of new majors,new directions,new models,new courses,and new theories.The curriculum system of undergraduate education has entered the perspective of the new liberal arts,which has brought about a turnaround in the long-standing difficulties faced by undergraduate education.The new liberal arts emphasizes the requirements of improving curriculum quality,strengthening value guidance,enriching curriculum forms,and innovating methods and means.This provides an exploration direction for the reform of undergraduate education curriculum system,and is also an important support for achieving the integration and high-quality development of education academia,disciplines,and students.This research takes S University as a case,using literature,interview,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and other research methods;Based on the constructivist curriculum concept and Gibbons’ explanation of knowledge production model II,this provides a theoretical basis for the reform of the curriculum system in the undergraduate stage of education majors;Furthermore,the inevitability of the convergence of the new liberal arts and undergraduate education majors lies in the fact that the new liberal arts have endowed new connotations in achieving high-quality development of education majors,optimizing the training objectives of undergraduate education professionals,and innovating the training models of undergraduate education professionals;To investigate the current situation of the undergraduate curriculum system in education under the background of traditional humanities,in order to provide reference and basis for the improvement of the undergraduate curriculum system in education.The research concludes that there are problems with the undergraduate education curriculum system at S University:(1)The curriculum objectives of S University’s undergraduate education program are limited and difficult to respond to social needs;(2)The undergraduate courses in education at S University are numerous but not precise,with a tendency towards "pure specialization";(3)The curriculum structure of undergraduate education majors at S University lacks three-dimensional characteristics;(4)The evaluation of undergraduate courses in education at S University lacks a developmental scale.The reform of the curriculum system is a systematic project involving multiple stakeholders,which requires the coordination and promotion of government,universities,social forces,and other forces.At present,most universities that offer undergraduate education majors still face difficulties in the construction of their curriculum systems under the new liberal arts background.Despite the continuous maturity of interdisciplinary curriculum design,composite teacher allocation,teaching methods,and evaluation methods,they are still characterized by a relatively severe employment situation,deeply reflecting the "non adaptability" of the curriculum system to the diverse needs of society under the traditional liberal arts background.In the context of the new liberal arts,based on the constructivist curriculum concept and knowledge production theory model II,targeted measures have been proposed to improve the curriculum system of undergraduate education majors.Firstly,based on the actual situation,clear curriculum objectives have been identified;Secondly,adhering to the new concept of humanities,setting up course groups;Thirdly,using relationships as a carrier to ensure the quality of curriculum implementation;The fourth is to collaborate with multiple parties to form a diversified curriculum evaluation mechanism.We will increase funding investment,optimize the teaching staff,and scientifically formulate assessment and degree awarding standards as the guarantee conditions for curriculum system reform.In order to provide decision-making reference for the reform of the undergraduate curriculum system of education at S University and other normal universities in China,and jointly provide reference significance for the construction of the curriculum system of education in Chinese universities. |
