| The rejuvenation of national quality and science and technology need to be supported by education, and teachers are an important pillar to support the great cause of education.Whether the teacher’s work is satisfied or not, relates to the quality of education and teaching, relates to the stability of the teacher team. Therefore, how to improve teachers’ job satisfaction by reforming the leadership style of the organization is an important topic in the current education field.Distributed leadership,a theory and practice that emphasizes the distribution of leadership functions among people with different specialties,is in the ascendant.Whether it can have a substantial impact on teachers’ job satisfaction has not been thoroughly explored. In view of this, this study explores whether distributed leadership affects teachers’ job satisfaction and its influencing mechanism.Specifically, through systematic literature collation and analysis, this study clarifies the literature related to distributed leadership and teacher job satisfaction, and proposes the research hypothesis based on theoretical deduction. In this study, authoritative large sample survey data and semi-structured interview methods are used to integrate and acquire data and information.Structural equation model is adopted to analyze the relationship between distributed leadership perceived by teachers and teacher job satisfaction, and to test the chain mediating effect of teacher cooperation, teacher innovation and teacher self-efficacy.In order to further elaborate the results of quantitative analysis, this study makes a qualitative analysis of the textual data obtained from semi-structured interviews, and systematically expounds and interprets the influence mechanism of teachers’ perceived distributed leadership on teachers’ job satisfaction. The findings are as follows:(1)Distributed leadership can effectively improve teachers’ job satisfaction.Specifically, the higher the level of distributed leadership perceived by teachers, the higher their job satisfaction.(2)Distributed leadership perceived by teachers affects teacher job satisfaction by promoting teacher cooperation, teacher innovation and teacher self-efficacy respectively.Teacher cooperation, teacher innovation and teacher self-efficacy play mediating roles between teachers’ perceived distributed leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction.(3)Distributed leadership perceived by teachers can positively influence teachers’ job satisfaction through the intermediary chain of "teacher cooperation → teacher innovation" and "teacher cooperation → teacher self-efficacy".Teacher cooperation can significantly affect teacher innovation and teacher self-efficacy,and the three have a "chain intermediary" effect between teachers’ perceived distributed leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction. To a certain extent, this study preliminarily reveals the influence mechanism of distributed leadership perceived by teachers on teachers’ job satisfaction, which enriches the research on teachers’ job satisfaction. The findings of this study provide some practical enlightenment for the managers in the educational field: in order to improve the job satisfaction of teachers,we are able to do some strive in three orientations:initially, change the traditional leadership mode to distributed leadership mode; The second is to establish an effective form of teacher cooperation under the guidance of distributed leadership.Third, give play to the role of distributed leadership and increase the non-power influence of teachers. |
