In April 2022,the Ministry of Education issued the "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education".The new curriculum standard proposes a new concept of "curriculum objectives guided by core mathematical literacy",and proposes that theme based teaching is mainly adopted in the field of "synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics.Theme based teaching,as a teaching activity organized by integrating textbook knowledge and real-life mathematical problems in the form of problem-solving,can fully leverage the comprehensive,practical,and open content characteristics of the "comprehensive and practical" field,which is conducive to formulating teaching objectives oriented towards mathematical core literacy and cultivating students’ core literacy.Due to the lack of a teaching design model that can be used for reference in the field of "synthesis and practice",this study intends to start with the following two questions: How to carry out thematic teaching design in the field of "synthesis and practice" ? What is the teaching effect of using thematic teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice" ?This study belongs to applied research and consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction,which summarizes the research background,purpose and significance,methods.Then,the keywords "thematic teaching" and "synthesis and practice" are used to sort out and read the literature,understand the current research status of predecessors in these two fields,and write a literature review;The first chapter defines the core concepts and theoretical foundations.Based on previous research,the core concepts of "thematic teaching" and "synthesis and practice" are defined.After reading relevant books and literature,constructivist learning theory and discovery learning theory are used as theoretical foundations;Chapter 2 is a survey of the current teaching situation in the field of "synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics.Using the student questionnaire and teacher interview outline prepared by predecessors,it was found that there are problems in the teaching of "synthesis and practice",such as a single teaching mode,a single selection of teaching content,and low enthusiasm for student activity participation.Chapter 3 is the thematic teaching design in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.Guided by the problems in the current teaching situation of the previous chapter,the basic framework of thematic teaching design in the field of "synthesis and practice" is constructed,consisting of seven parts: theme selection-object analysis-content analysis-goal formulation-determination of key and difficult points-teaching method selection-teaching process design,Then select typical content such as "Number and Form","Ratio in Leaves",and "Determining the Starting Line" from "Comprehensive and Practical" to design teaching cases that can be replicated and referenced.Chapter 4 is the practical application of thematic teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics.The three cases designed in the previous chapter are used for empirical research in educational internships,and the teaching effectiveness is investigated through student questionnaires and teacher observations.Students scored higher in four dimensions: knowledge learning,activity participation,emotional attitudes and values,and learning satisfaction;Teachers also score higher in the four dimensions of classroom environment,course structure,execution effectiveness,and teaching content.And based on the analysis of the effectiveness,propose teaching suggestions such as sufficient and reasonable time arrangement,appropriate and appropriate content selection,more interdisciplinary content,and student-centered teaching implementation.Chapter 5 is a research summary and outlook,while pointing out that the framework of thematic teaching design still needs to be improved,the implementation time is too tight,there are too few research objects,and observers have not received systematic professional training.The research conclusion indicates that the thematic teaching design in the field of "synthesis and practice",based on the framework of theme selection,object analysis,content analysis,goal formulation,determination of key and difficult points,selection of teaching methods,and design of teaching processes,can effectively solve the problems of single teaching mode,single selection of teaching content,and low participation of students in current "synthesis and practice" teaching,and the teaching effect is good,And solved the problem of how to design and achieve effective thematic teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice".Construct a thematic teaching design framework for the field of "synthesis and practice",design teaching cases that can be replicated and referenced,provide some reference for frontline primary school mathematics teachers in this field,strengthen the implementation of the new curriculum standards,and implement the cultivation of core competencies.
