Interpersonal surveillance is a social media surveillance behavior that does not involve public or private institutions,is initiated by individuals,is mainly used in intimate relationships, and is generated in an atmosphere of perceived risk and relative suspicion.Based on the qualitative research of grounded methods and Fogg’s behavior theory,an online social network user behavior influence model, this paper further constructs and perfects the influencing factors model of systematic interpersonal electronic surveillance behavior, including four main categories and corresponding 9 subcategories, which points out that the behavioral motivation factors mainly come from uncertainty, anxiety attachment and emotional investment, and the behavioral ability factors that facilitate the transformation of behavioral motivation into practical action are the availability of media monitoring and the chirality of subject monitoring. In this transformation process, emergencies and dynamic signals are the trigger conditions and positive regulatory factors of interpersonal electronic monitoring, meanwhile, monitoring resistance and subjective norms are behavioral resistance and negative regulatory factors of interpersonal electronic monitoring. This study makes up for the lack of research in the field of interpersonal electronic surveillance in China, provides a case study of China’s localization, and applies grounding theory and Fogg’s behavior model to its theoretical research for the first time, forming a relatively systematic model of influencing factors.
