In recent years,the Whole nation and society have become more and more aware of the important impact of labor education on students,and labor curriculum has also become a national policy and social hot issue.As a compulsory course in the stage of compulsory education of our country,the implementation and development of labor skills curriculum is not only the requirement of curriculum standard of compulsory education of schools for intellectual education,but also the need of students’ all-round development of mind and body.Therefore,enriching the empirical research on the implementation status of the labor skills curriculum in the mentally retarded schools will further promote the research on the theoretical system of labor education in China;To explore new possible solutions for the comprehensive promotion and implementation of labor skills curriculum;It is of great value to promote and improve the development and construction of teaching materials for labor skills curriculum.This paper takes the labor skills curriculum of a school in Dalian city as an example,through investigation and research,to understand the implementation status of the labor skills curriculum of the school,to explore the existing problems,to provide education suggestions and reference cases for our country’s education schools to carry out the labor skills curriculum.This study adopts the self-compiled Observation Form of the Implementation Status of the Labor Skills Curriculum in the School of Intellectual Disability,the Outline of the Interview with Teachers on the Implementation Status of the Labor Skills Curriculum in the School of Intellectual Disability and the Questionnaire on the Implementation Status of the Labor Skills Curriculum in the School of Intellectual Disability(Teacher Version).Through observation,interview and questionnaire methods,42 labor skills classes of seven grades From junior to senior grades of a school of intellectual disability in Dalian are taken as research objects,respectively from the teaching objectives Observe the teaching contents,teaching methods and teaching evaluation,and conduct interviews and surveys with teachers of labor skills and other disciplines in the school to understand the implementation status of labor skills curriculum,analyze the results and put forward suggestions on the basis of research.The results show that teachers have a clear understanding and positive attitude towards the curriculum of labor skills in the school for intellectual disability;Pay attention to the achievement of knowledge and skill objectives;The teaching material is practical,and the teaching content focuses on connecting students’ life and personal practice;The teaching methods are mainly explanation teaching method and activity teaching method;Formative evaluation is the most important way of teaching evaluation.There are some problems in the teaching of labor skills curriculum in special schools for intellectual disability,such as the lack of professional teachers and teaching resources;Inadequate emphasis on emotional attitudes and values objectives;The teaching content is not rich enough,and students’ differences and subject comprehensiveness are rarely reflected;The teaching method is fixed and the teachers’ internal drive is insufficient;The teaching evaluation method is single and the evaluation system is imperfect.According to the research findings,suggestions are followed: improve the professionalism of teachers,expand teaching staff and course resources;reasonably formulate teaching objectives and work hard to advance together;enrich the teaching content and improve the development of teaching materials for labor skills;various teaching methods,external incentives to drive teachers;Combined with the stage learning situation,build a multiple teaching evaluation system.
