With the continuous improvement of modern technology and new curriculum standards,the tools to assist mathematics teaching in the classroom are then diversified.The geometer’s sketchpad,as a widely used tool in mathematics,has the functions of dynamic demonstration including precise drawing,accurate calculation,measurement,transformation,and feedback,which can better optimize the teaching of mathematics in middle school.The importance of algebra in the learning of mathematics in middle school is self-evident.Based on this,the author conducted a study on the application of the geometer’s sketchpad in algebraic mathematics of middle school in the Human Education version.This thesis is divided into seven parts.The first part mainly describes the research background,purpose and significance of the selected topic,and explains the research content,ideas and methods of this topic.The second part focuses on the current research on the geometer’s sketchpad at home and abroad.The third part briefly introduces the features and functions of the geometer’s sketchpad and explains the theoretical basis for conducting the research.The fourth part is to investigate the current status of teachers’ application of the geometer’s sketchpad in the algebra section.In the fifth part,we started from the middle school mathematics textbook of the Human Education version,based on the three main topics of the algebra section,we organized the teaching contents suitable for the application of the geometer’s sketchpad in middle school algebra teaching,and selected 13 cases from the three parts of number and equation,equation and inequality,and function respectively for analysis.The sixth part is to select a lesson example for each topic and provide a complete instructional design for its application the geometer’s sketchpad.The seventh part is to investigate the effect of applying the geometer’s sketchpad in teaching middle school algebra through students’ questionnaire and analyze the results of the survey.The eighth part is the summary and reflection of this topic,which summarizes the whole text and puts forward several suggestions on the application of the geometer’s sketchpad in middle school algebra teaching,and reflects on the shortcomings of this topic and the directions that need further in-depth research in the future.The research methods adopted in this thesis are literature research,questionnaires and interviews.According to the results of the study,there is a sense in which the geometer’s sketchpad can help students to better grasp algebra and enhance their interest in learning algebra.However,there are some difficulties for teachers to use the geometer’s sketchpad to teach algebra,which should be solved gradually in further in-depth research,so that the geometer’s sketchpad can really become a powerful tool for teaching algebra in middle school. |
