With the rapid development of society and the continuous progress of information technology, the influence of the Matthew effect in various fields of social systems is gradually intensified. On the one hand, the benign competition reflected by the Matthew effect promotes the efficiency of production, which enhances the vitality of society. On the other hand, the excessive concentration of resources caused by the Matthew effect leads to the further consolidation of social hierarchy, which produces adverse impacts on the harmonious development of society. Therefore,in order to restrain the aggravation of this phenomenon,it is of great social significance to research the development law of the Matthew effect. However, most existing studies on the Matthew effect are limited to the analysis of its characteristics, and few studies are aimed at predicting the development law of social individuals under its influence. As a result, computational social models under the influence of the Matthew effect are constructed in this thesis, which aims to model the development trend and evolution law of individuals in the social system. Then, the development status of individuals in social networks can be evaluated and analyzed,so as to provide theoretical references for the regulation of this phenomenon. The main research contents of this thesis are summarized as follows.Firstly, the Matthew effect in opinion dynamics in the computational social system is investigated in this thesis. The corresponding model is constructed to describe the Matthew effect with distributed topology(MEDT)by analyzing the evolution process and competitive mechanism of social individuals under the influence of the Matthew effect.Under the premise of considering the communication and interaction among social individuals, the model describes the development speed and development potential of social individuals, and the influence of the Matthew effect on individuals’ development is shown intuitively. Then, based on the winner-take-all(WTA)theory,the development law of individuals in the MEDT model is analyzed.Through theoretical analyses and simulative experiments, the practicability and reliability of the proposed model are verified, that is,the MEDT model is capable of simulating and calculating the development process and evolution law of individuals under the Matthew effect in social systems effectively. What’s more, the application scenarios of the proposed model in various fields such as election and bidding are introduced in this thesis.Subsequently, considering the dynamic nature of social networks, the time delay in information transmission is introduced into the network topology, which leads to the time-delayed Matthew effect(TDME)model.Based on the construction of social networks with information transmission delay, this thesis analyzes the influence of the delay on the decision making of social individuals and the change of individuals’ development law in the computational social system. This thesis theoretically deduces the maximum time delay in social networks allowed by the TDME model to remain stable in social networks, and verifies the convergence of the model.Through simulative experiments, the influence of the time delay on the individuals’ development and evolution law under the Matthew effect in the computational social system are demonstrated, and the validity of the TDME model is verified. Finally, based on the above two models, aiming at the computational social system with varying inter-individual communication conditions,a model describing the Matthew effect with switching social networks(MESSN)is designed.A compensation item is added to the dynamic consensus estimator to compensate for the system fluctuation caused by the switching of social network topologies.Theoretical analyses prove that when the social network changes, the proposed model is able to recover to a stable state quickly. The experiments simulate the development process of social individuals in this model. The MESSN model expands the application prospects of the Matthew effect model, and further confirms that the research of the Matthew effect model is helpful for researchers to analyze the evolution process of opinion dynamics in social systems. In practical application, this model is able to help social individuals and organizations understand the characteristics of social competition more deeply and provide some theoretical guidance for their development. In addition, the Matthew effect model can be used to analyze the development trend of society,so that the government is capable of timely adjusting the excessive Matthew effect, which is of great significance in promoting coordinated economic development and maintaining social harmony.
