Ancient poetry is the precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.The wonder of ancient poetry,the antelope hangs its horns,has no trace to be found.To grasp the infinite meaning of ancient poetry,we must focus on the imagery of poetry.Image is the tiny cell that constitutes the artistic conception of poetry,and is the basic brick and stone for constructing the ancient poetry building.In language learning,one of the most important elements in the appreciation of ancient poetry is "image".The meaning is the subjective thoughts and emotions of the poet,and the image is the objective image described by the poet.The image can be understood as the concrete image that contains the main thoughts and emotions of the poet,and is the medium and carrier of the poet’s expression.It is the unity of the subjective and objective,the sublimation of the exterior and the interior.Compared with other previous editions,the current junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry have greatly increased the number of ancient poems,but when the imagery of ancient poems is involved in the textbook,other words are often used to replace such as "scenery","image" Etc.,the first volume of the ninth grade began to mention the word "image".In the special inquiry of the introduction to the famous novel,a special topic on the poetic image was mentioned,but it did not give a deep explanation.Because of the ambiguity of the concept of imagery,the teaching of imagery is not taken seriously.Coupled with the limitations of teachers’ own literacy,many teachers have a simple interpretation of the images in poetry,so it is difficult to appreciate poetry.How to make students comprehend and appreciate poetry scientifically and effectively is a question that we always need to think about and examine.In order to explore the problem of image teaching in Chinese ancient poetry in junior high school,we first interpret from the theory of imagery,clarify what imagery is,what are the characteristics of imagery,how it is combined in poetry,and how to express the poet’s emotion in tangible and intangible form.Then continue to demonstrate the necessity of the image teaching of ancient poetry and its profound significance to the whole Chinese teaching.This paper sorts out the images of ancient poems in the junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry,and interprets the typical images of "moon","willow","chrysanthemum" and "wine".Some feasible strategies for the teaching of ancient poetry and imagery are developed,and the theoretical and practical research of ancient poetry and imagery teaching is enriched.
