This study compares and analyses the plane vector and its application content of the new and old textbooks of People’s Education A Edition,in order to understand the changes in the content of the new textbooks and better carry out teaching activities.At the same time,it further enriches the comparison between new and old textbooks.The research object of the new textbook is plane vector and its application in Chapter6 of the second book,while the research object of the old textbook is plane vector in Chapter 2 of the fourth book and triangle solving in Chapter 1 of the fifth book.Firstly,the literature analysis method is adopted to sort out the previous studies and determine the comparative framework and research tools.Secondly,the method of comparative research is adopted to compare the requirements of the new and old curriculum standard plane vector and its application content from the aspects of curriculum objectives,curriculum structure and curriculum content,and then compare the new and old textbooks plane vector and its application content from the layout design,style structure,knowledge system,knowledge presentation,information technology tools,mathematical culture,and example exercises.Finally,questionnaire survey was conducted among front-line teachers and students to understand the implementation of the new teaching materials.Based on the comparative conclusions,teaching suggestions for teachers and learning suggestions for students were given.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The new curriculum standards pay attention to the acquisition of students’ basic ideas and basic activity experience,and pay attention to the cultivation of the core quality of mathematics;The spiraling arrangement of the old curriculum standard reduces the difficulty of learning,but the main course structure of the new curriculum standard reflects the logic of mathematics,but also reflects the powerful tool function of vector;The number and level of the new curriculum standard knowledge points have been increased.(2)The new textbook pay more attention to the role of section introduction,which is arranged in each section;The increase of narration in new textbooks makes them more readable.The old textbook has a large number of extended columns,but the new textbook has arranged mathematical exploration activities at the end of the chapter,so that students can better understand the relationship between vector operation and the nature of geometric figures.The summary of the new textbook will review and think separately,review effect is better;The new teaching material contains more knowledge points,and the proportion of the application of plane vector increases obviously;The new textbook arranges the operation of plane vector in a centralized way,emphasizing the whole and level,and puts the cosine theorem and sine theorem in the application of vector,and proves it by vector method,which reflects the powerful tool function of vector,but the old textbook proves the sine theorem by acute trigonometric function more easily.The new textbook has increased the use of information technology on the basic theorem of plane vector,and the proof is more rigorous.(3)The number of examples and exercises in the new textbook is reduced,and more attention is paid to the quality of the problems.The overall difficulty of the examples is greater,and the overall difficulty of the exercises is not different;The new textbook arranges in-class exercises in each section,and the amount of questions is mostly controlled within 3,which can effectively test the learning effect of students.The section exercises and review exercises in the new textbook is more detailed,which is convenient for teachers and students to choose.
