In the context of "double reduction",the issue of students’ homework in compulsory education has once again come into the public eye,and reducing students’ homework burden has become the focus of attention.Investigative assignments in primary school mathematics are problem-oriented,using students’ independent or collaborative research as the learning mode, and using inquiry-based learning methods to complete investigative tasks so as to improve mathematical literacy in mathematics. The results of inquiry-based assignments not only reflect students’ mastery of basic knowledge and skills, but also reflect students’ personalized thinking and diverse ways of inquiry, stimulate their desire for inquiry, and fit in with the homework design philosophy under the "double reduction" policy, which can,to a certain extent, alleviate students’ homework burden, improve the quality of learning and achieve It also reflects students’ personalized thinking and diverse ways of inquiry, stimulates their desire for inquiry, and is in line with the design concept of the "double reduction" policy. This study uses questionnaire survey method, based on a combination of interview method and content analysis method,to collect inquiry homework related homework texts, and investigate the current situation of inquiry homework design in Year 5 and 6mathematics in Primary School X in Baotou from both teachers and students, including students’ emotional attitude towards inquiry homework, the design of inquiry homework objectives, the design of timing of inquiry homework setting, the amount of inquiry homework and The survey included students’ emotional attitudes towards inquiry work, the design of inquiry work objectives, the design of inquiry work assignment timing, the amount and difficulty of inquiry work, the design of inquiry work content and form, the guidance of inquiry work completion, and the correction and evaluation of inquiry work. After systematic analysis,it is found that there are still some problems at present, which are mainly manifested as follows: lack of thinking in the design of inquiry objectives, neglecting the cultivation of core literacy;lack of consideration in the timing of inquiry, averaging out the difficulty of inquiry;simpler content and form of inquiry, relying on written exercises;neglecting the guidance for completing homework, making it difficult to achieve the expected effect;and lagging behind in the concept of assessment and correction, neglecting the students’ main body.In view of the above major problems, the author proposes the following optimization strategies based on the requirements of homework design in the context of "double reduction" and on the basis of questionnaires and interviews: establish the awareness of "reduction" and build the awareness of inquiry;pay attention to the design of inquiry objectives and cultivate core literacy;grasp the timing of inquiry and balance the difficulty of homework in different levels;enrich the content and form of inquiry and enhance the interest of inquiry;provide "scaffolding" homework guidance and cultivate students’ independent exploration;innovate the concept of assessment and revise and enlarge the appreciation.
